Should we do the luau at the Polynesian?

We have been to the Luau 4 times since 2005. We love it. The food is great. The show is wonderful. I would recommend it to everyone.

I hate to be a downer, but don't waste your time! They've ruined the luau. They've given it a cheesy story line now. It used to be fantastic! When we went on our honeymoon last Dec. the food was great, but the show should've been left alone.

I have been to the luau 4 times over the past 20 years and I enjoy it. The food is good, but not terrific. It's pointless to comment about whether the old, original, show was better. If you and your mom expext to have an enjoyable dinner and show, you will probably be able to find it here. I think everyone should see it at least once. We're planning to go in 2009 with my mom (who will be 80 by then and is very active), kids, and grandkids. We will probably go the the Luau.
