Why do they...
Why do they...
Say, in HM, "They'll be expecting me. I'll see you all a little later."
I don't see any loss of continuity in the ride without him saying that...
For me, it just doesn't make much sense...?

No, no... He's got a point.

Well, our ghost host leaves us on our own for a time and we go through the ride with no narration until he reappears. Also, he leaves just as the ghosts really start to come out and we see him in the graveyard scene if my memory is on top of things tonight. So it does help add to the story just to keep you from thinking about "what happened to him?"...

i never really gave it any thought as to why he leaves us, probably because the party in the dining/ball room is fun. i would want to join too.

They obviously had nothing to say for the parts where he dissapears or at least didn't need to have anything said so it just made sense for him to announce his departure and return rather than just have silence and people wonder what happened to the audio.

He leaves us at the ballroom scene. I believe it's partly that there's nothing to talk about but moreso the fact that he goes and parties with his ghost friends for a while in the ballroom.

Thanks for the responses!
That makes sense -- we were supposed to be looking for him. It does make the ride a little more disquieting to not have the narrator, I just couldn't see the point of saying, in effect, "see y'all later!"
He's in the ballroom?
Does anyone know which one he is?
Is there anyone with clothes or something similar to the hanging skelton in the elevator (can't remember)?
There are lots of things like this which, while at the parks I kinda go, "what the...?' but then breeze on and only later start wondering...
