Free requests week in chat!

I have noticed a huge influx of users joining the site and posting. In an attempt to get more users into the chat we're going to give free requests away.

Simply come to the chat:
- http://www.subsonicradio.com/chat/
Or if you use irc:
- irc.accessirc.net
- #subsonicradio

You can request anything, even if it's not available to request on the website's request list! Just ask an admin to add something and they will.

There are some limitations though:
- The amount/time of requests are limited by the amount of tracks already in the queue. The amount you can request will fluctuate at the discretion of the admin.
- Shorter tracks are more likely to get put in than longer ones
- An admin has to be around to queue something up. If they aren't, chat with the other listeners until an admin comes around.
- Yeah, it's not the best system, but it's free.

I can't get chat to open (here) through the webpage or Pidgin's IRC.

Try port: irc.accessirc.net:6665 your work might be blocking irc's default port.

*sigh* I can't do that while at work - it's blocked, and if I go around it, that could be grounds for firing.

The good thing is, since many of the chatters are from CA, I can chat when I get home!

if I happen to be in the chat (not that I really am in there that much), you can't ask me for the requests, just so everyone knows. I don't have the access to the server like everyone else, I just work the forums (not that I'm complaining by any means).

Yeah!!!! I finally got on even here at the office. But I don't want to pay to use mIRC. Is there some way to use the 6665 port through the java app here on the site?

It seems some people are having a hard time with the webchat. So you can use a custom Subsonic Radio mIRC that will connect you to the chat:

In answer to Hypermommy's question. After 30 days mIRC will popup a nag screen to buy. But you can still use all the features indefinitely. It's only a nag screen.

Downloaded this today and started using it. It's great!!!! Easy to use and looks great. Only thing Ihad to do was edit the server to use the 6665 port. Y'all come join us in the chat. Much fun to be had.
