You can expect rain almost anytime you go to Central Flordia, and I find that the rain at night can last much longer than the showers in the afternoon. Getting wet can be a nightmare due to the climate control in the different attractions, you will find yourself getting mighty cold in some places.

I was at disney is May and there was a huge downpour. All of the sours could not hold the water and they magic kingdom was flooded. We had to take our shoes off to walk back from frontierland to main street.

We go in January. The rain is the same torrential stuff 20 - 45 mins of downpour but not every day. Main difference is the temp. It can get a might chilly in Jan you really don't want to get soaked. The ponchos are fine, we have used the same yellow "100 years of magic" ponchos every year since 2002. They roll up small and squish to the bottom of my day sack. When the temp is in the low 50s and it's raining you would be amazed at how empty Main Street gets. 8)

when we went in December 2006, it didn;t rain the entire week we were down there. I think it may have rained a little at night, but late, never while we were outside...
