OK, the last few days of my schedule are going to be as follows.

Tuesday (Tomorrow): I'm working, but I don't know where yet.
Wednesday: Hollywood Popcorn (No idea where that is.. not worked there before!)
Thursday: Popcorn stand by entrance to Fantasmic!
Friday: Off
Saturday: Off
Sunday: Hollywood Popcorn again
Monday: Popcorn stand by entrance to Fantasmic! again
Tuesday: Pretzel/Churro cart at exit to Great Movie Ride
Wednesday: Working but don't know where yet. This will be my last day.

As usual, this is of course subject to change at the drop of a hat.

Andy.

Friday & Saturday off? That sounds like a nice back to back off days :)

Do you normally have 2 days off in a row like that?
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

For reference, Hollywood Popcorn is the popcorn stand at the end of Hollywood Boulevard (the street you enter the park through)

I'll do a post of my overall thoughts once I'm back at home.

And yes, two days off back to back is cool. I've had that every week that I've been here. The only pain is that Saturday is quite busy in the parks :P

OK, tonight there was a cast preview of the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. There was a short (around 30 minute) sneak peek for the guests just before the park closed, at which point they then turned all the lights off (and they didn't "dance" for the guests, and there was no snow, etc.)...

Being a cast preview, there was free christmas shape biscuits (as you can see in one of the photos that'll be on my website shortly), and free hot chocolate provided. I have got a video of the lights doing their dancing stuff, but I'm not sure if I want to upload that (yet), since for a start it isn't Christmas yet, and you're supposed to wait until November 13th to see it :)

The photos are up though, and are available at http://www.andrewpoole.org.uk/disney/photos/xmas1/ along with a few photos of the Magic Kingdom's decorations.

I think thats the first time I've seen the Osborne Lights, I always go in early January so I still see the lights there but their usually taking them down by the time I visit.

By the way, where was that plaque of the Epcot's Opening Day Speech?

It's outside the park, in front of the ticket windows. It's to the right of the monorail station entrance as you look towards the park. I spotted it as I'd just arrived from Disney-MGM Studios on a Disney bus.

Speaking of Epcot, the Christmas arches are being put up at the moment. They haven't turned them on yet, though.

Whilst Fantasmic! is down at the moment, they're doing sneak peeks at the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights, although they aren't previewing the "dancing" lights effect that they showed at the Cast Preview last week. You need to come back on the 13th when they're officially turned on to see that. Once they've started it, I'll upload my video. If I remember. I'll be at home by then :(

Hey Andy, best person to answer this for me. as mentioned in this thread, I'm looking to get the pricing on the basic set of Mickey Ears with the embroidered name on the back. If you could get this while your down there (I know you said your lasy day is Wednesday), it'd be greatly appreciated.

Embroidery is $2, from what I remember. I'll have a look at the price of the actual ears and let you know.

Tonight was my last night :(

Tonight we had our "Graduation" party thingie, after which a couple of us went over to the Magic Kingdom for a cast preview of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade. Photos are here: http://www.andrewpoole.org.uk/disney/photos/xmas3/

And with that, my next post will be from the UK on Sunday evening (UK time).

Andy.

Remember what you saw, did and lived more than many of us could EVER dream of. You were part of the magic! Nothing but congratulations are in order. Remember in Walt's world, oceans are just but ponds to be stepped over. Never forget, neglect or forget what you experienced. There are many if us who could only dream to be in the shoes you populated during your "tour of duty." Congratulations! :D

Congratulations on completing your internship/college program. Time goes by fast doesn't it? I hope you had a good time, and a good learning experience. Keep in touch with your fellow CMs. And remember, you were once part of the magic!

And now I'm going to bed. I've been up for 33 and a half hours now...
