I've always been a fan of the Splash Mountain queue. The rustic setting, the sounds of little animals and queue music, and who can forget the introductions to the story of Splash Mountain, "Now this tale didn't happend just nor the day before, but a long long time ago and in them days... everything was mighty satisfaction
"I also love Roger Rabbit's queue, Indy's, and of course the Pirates smell!

Do you think have enough time to go the bathroom before the next show?

See but that's my point, skipper... how can you call the stretching room part of the "queue?" I've always considered it part of the attraction itself... it's not like the "safety" or "pre-boarding" videos you see on other attractions... it's a bonafide beginning to your tour of the Mansion. I think if people thought of the Mansion queue like I do... from the front gate to the foyer... they'd agree it's pretty unimpressive, given the quality and creativity of the attraction itself.

That is one of the biggest "disagreements" between fans of the Mansion. Some say it is and some say it isn't. I lean on the side of it is part of the ride.spaulo wrote:See but that's my point, skipper... how can you call the stretching room part of the "queue?" I didn't know it was an issue among the fans, but I can see why. I'm not too sure on what I think. It feels like part of the ride, because it's so much more than a 'queue'. It is indeed an exciting part of the attraction itself.Dr. Ravenscroft wrote:That is one of the biggest "disagreements" between fans of the Mansion. Some say it is and some say it isn't. I can see how folks can think it is part of the queue because you don't get on the doombuggies until after, and they think the doombuggies ARE the ride. I feel that when you enter the stretchrooms and the doors close you have entered the ride. In DL, since that is where this thread is located, the foyer can be considered part of the queue, although I have had doubts, because this is where you gather to enter the ride.

I totally agree with Indy and Splash on having the best queues since these are my two favorite rides at DL. Plus if I ever worked at DL, I could so get in character working on one of these two rides thanks to the great atmosphere set up by their respective queues. I also am fond of the queue/waiting area of Tiki room and the little presentation to the all the gods.

I really like the Soarin' queue at DCA. They spent a lot of time and effort getting the pictures and short bios about the pioneers of aviation. It would have been easy to just have the Wright brothers and Charles Lindbergh etc. However, they went the extra mile with people like Kelly Johnson, Jack Northrup, and Tony LeVier.

I also like the queue for Soarin in DCA more than the one in Epcot as well. It's always crowded downstairs where the queue is, and sometimes the big screens are out.Dr. Ravenscroft wrote:Yeah the queue for Soarin' in DCA is better than the one in EPCOT. The one in EPCOT is bland, with big video screens. The DCA, original, version is the better. The only thing I like better at EPCOT is the fact that you are indoors all the time.
It's funny that the world trivia screens make it seem like Soarin will be more than just an aerial tour of CA.

That's a good point Lion. Maybe they should have made it trivia about California, like how much rainfall does NorCal get vs. how much SoCal gets. Or stuff like the how much steel was used to construct the Golden Gate.Lion Sleeps Tonight wrote:It's funny that the world trivia screens make it seem like Soarin will be more than just an aerial tour of CA.
