Re: Dateline Disneyland
Why would they still be filming the View on Friday? Outside of segments for next week, they wouldn't be able to shoot much since the time difference makes it a bit of a problem.
I was wondering if the Hollowoodland décor was new, I swore it was not there last year.

Just an update, the View either has retreated to somewhere secret and indoors due to the rain or they are gone.

Do they still have sound stages out there? They could have relocated to one of those...Wizzard419 wrote:Just an update, the View either has retreated to somewhere secret and indoors due to the rain or they are gone.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
They never really had sound stages, the ones in Hollywood land aren't actually set up for it, but I think they are just done considering they were filming Thursday's content on Monday and it would be a continuity issue if they suddenly jumped from outdoors to indoor. If Whoppi went with the rest of the ladies to LA, that meant she most likely took her bus (she is famously afraid of flight), which in turn means that she would need days to get back to NYC.
Re: Dateline Disneyland
Forty hours, to be approximate. I remember John Madden's book talking about his cross-country trips, and how he indirectly caused some MNF games to be scheduled geographically. I don't know why Whoopi is afraid of flying, but I know why big John was.

John's excuse was that he just loved killing hitchhikers and doing lines off their pelvic bones.

Or the Cal Poly team plane crash. Could be that.

MiceChat where worker safety is always trumped by and blamed for cosmetic things. Even though they are on a butt-hurt fiesta about the RoA animatronics, there have been ones missing from Pirates for over 6 months straight.
I am going to say that Innoventions probably will not be receiving any Xbox One stuff for a few reasons. The big one is that MS was doing the marketing push hard and early, so if they weren't on display prior to launch it wasn't going to happen. The other is that the 360 display, if I recall, featured games published by Disney. As of now there are no XB one games from them on the market and only one is announced so far. They may set one up once there are more Disney owned titles, but for now it would not be useful to them.

You will see a giant one on display in the tunnels, apparently the poster notes that pistols are equally effective as candy canes in combating hippos. Speaking of, I still have no idea why the candy canes from DLR (the handmade ones) are so obscenely popular. There are a good number of places to get handmade canes (the difference is that they have a platinum-like sheen to them vs the machine handled ones. I guess that also might be why they only make them on a few select days.
Also, while you're here you must play "spot the token Jews" in each park. To honor Hanukkah, there is one window in each park that features a menorah.

Yeah, I considered and quickly rejected trying to get one of the candy canes. Standing in line, paying an obscene amount for the candy cane that no one really likes all that well anyhow...no thanks.Wizzard419 wrote:You will see a giant one on display in the tunnels, apparently the poster notes that pistols are equally effective as candy canes in combating hippos. I will look for the menorahs. WDW includes some in the Osborne lights, but not very many...

Re: Dateline Disneyland
The one in DCA is way more obvious, and you'll probably see why when you spot it.
I wonder if the people who buy the canes eat them or just stare at them and eventually throw them away at the end of the season?

Re: Dateline Disneyland
Now color me surprised, they literally are cutting their own ad space to promote nothing Disney for the X Box one? There is a game coming out, but that is a ways off and could be cancelled. At least it is a nice break up between Disney owned properties.
If they are not going to be using the real-estate from the skyway for anything, I am kind of surprised they would choose to demolish it. It probably is about ready to fall down at this point, but it is something that can be used to break up the background a bit in the present form.
