Re: New Disney Park Soundtracks
Question for those in the know...
When they list an attraction name as the track...does that mean the audio from the entire attraction or a specific song from that attraction? An example would be the track titled "Spaceship Earth". Perhaps that is the name of the musical score used...or do they mean the entire attraction? Another one, "It's Tough To Be a Bug"...I don't recall there being a theme song...so maybe this would be the whole attraction too.

Re: New Disney Park Soundtracks
The answer is "Yes"
Longer explanation, it depends on the ride. For example, SSE is usually just the area loop minus the 10 seconds for the transition back to start. Tough to be a bug is probably "Beauty and the Bees" from the lobby. Haunted Mansion, for example, is more of a flow-through. In some cases they may do a mix that is more of a tapestry of whatever audio is in the ride.
Since Disney is in the habit of reusing tracks from album to album, most of the songs have been on previous albums.

Re: New Disney Park Soundtracks
yeah I have almost all of those tracks already via previous versions of the park soundtracks that contained them
I assume that some of the tracks are the updated version of the audio like Test Track and SSE...of which I have the old versions.

Re: New Disney Park Soundtracks
Test track will probably a sample of the new BGM, it might also be the score from the ride itself.
SSE will probably be the same area loop they used last time rather than the audio from the ride.
One nice thing, which may actually help sales, is that you will be able to buy it digitally. If you can purchase individual tracks then you can skip all the ones you have.

Probably, they have been publishing a lot of albums (including out of print stuff) as of late and the second Carthay Circle Sessions CD is digital only.

Re: New Disney Park Soundtracks
A lot of the parks CDs do duplicate the tracks from previous CDs, but it still fun to get the new ones I might need to check into itunes this time around and see if it is smarter to buy just the new tracks rather than the whole CD...

Yep, the only catch might be that they only sell the album as a full one on iTunes. Which still would be cheaper than buying one from a 3rd party or possibly even in the parks.

I still have my orange cassette tape that was only music from MK and EPCOT Center. There is nothing better than classic Epcot music!

Re: New Disney Park Soundtracks
I was in the park on August 23rd and did not see that 2 CD set anywhere at the Contemporary or inside the MK. So maybe it takes a bit more time to get to WDW...

Re: New Disney Park Soundtracks
Because they do super limited pressings for the audio discs, they have been sold out at DLR so WDW may also only have a small number left.
