All expenses paid stay at GF for 4 nights??? I've already voiced my jealousness on several occasions. I think he has a good game plan for his solo day, so I'm interested on how it will end up. Good luck bro!

Two and a half days

Now, for those who want to follow along at home, my plan is to post photos and updates on Twitter ( http://twitter.com/acp ). I might make a thread in this forum with some photos/updates, but I'm hopeless at writing trip reports, so don't count on it
The twitter updates'll definitely happen though.

Yeah, we've been to WDW many times, but have never used the Magical Express. We are hoping to breeze thorugh and get to the parks as early on Monday as possible. Does anyone have any experience as to how long it might take from landing at MCO to arrival at Port Orleans-Riverside at that time of day on a Monday morning?

I think you will enjoy using the Magical Express. It really is quite easy and it is nice having someone else take care of your checked luggage! It all sort of depends on how many other people are arriving at the same time. We usually end up waiting about 45 minutes for the buses. And then it is about 45 minutes to the resort from the airport. I would think traffic should be fairly light in the mid-morning. Have a super timeduggett wrote:Yeah, we've been to WDW many times, but have never used the Magical Express. We are hoping to breeze thorugh and get to the parks as early on Monday as possible. DW and I honeymooned at POR...but we arrived Sunday morning...so I'm not sure how different the crowds are on a Monday. I do remember seeing a lot of people in line at the DME desk who did not get DME setup prior to arriving at MCO. We walked right past them and were corralled to the bus for the Downtown Disney resort line. I think our bus was actually boarding when we walked up, so we didn't wait at all. From the time we landed at MCO and when we were in the lobby at POR was less than an hour...which is crazy fast. We were in awe that we went from our hometown (Birmingham, AL) to Epcot in just a few hours.duggett wrote:Yeah, we've been to WDW many times, but have never used the Magical Express. It really just depends on your timing as to how long you wait for a DME bus. It's just like waiting for a park bus at your resort...you can get there right as one is leaving and know you will be waiting another 8-15 minutes for the next bus...or you could walk up right when one is pulling in making your wait nothing.

Thanks - obviously, we're hoping for the "walk right on" scenario. We're leaving Pennsylvania on a 7:00 am flight, arriving at MCO at 9:18, so it would be great to set a "personal best" and be checked in at POR and into a park by noon or so. That would be a great start to the week. Anything better than that would be world-class MAGIC!theBIGyowski wrote:DW and I honeymooned at POR...but we arrived Sunday morning...so I'm not sure how different the crowds are on a Monday. I've used Magical Express a few times and always walked up right as one was either pulling in or calling for last riders. Never had to wait at all. Once I even ended up the ONLY person on the entire bus. That was pretty special as the bus driver was super friendly and played the video for me and called out the sites in a Donald Duck voice as we drove. Totally awesome experience.
Wish the ride back was as magical. But I don't think that's completely the ME's fault. There's very little magical about leaving WDW.

You had the whole motor coach to yourself?! That would be really neat! I'm surprised they didn't wait for more people.JenMuse wrote:I've used Magical Express a few times and always walked up right as one was either pulling in or calling for last riders. Check out the view from my room, though
