But that is the key, if they start showing the old and busted crap from the past they won't be able to command such a high price nor will they be able to raise prices.

Simply re-dressing old rides isn't an option if it has low numbers like CoP has. The rides may have been great 50 years ago, but now they are an outdated method of storytelling.

Latest update from Micechat: Spring break winds down as construction projects continue at Disneyland, etc.

I wonder if, for the face characters, they just make the existing workers put on a different costume?

Also, I was surprised they said "Imax" until I read further, that is kind of a d*ck move.

I would guess the face characters have specific characters they can portray. I would think there would be some overlap in which ones they can be.

I don't like IMAX theaters that don't have the actual experience like the one at Universal Citywalk here. I tried to do it in my city's IMAX when The Avengers came out and while I enjoyed it, I wanted the HUGE screen.

Think this is a good as place as any to put this news ~ just saw this from MiceChat on Facebook
Rough Day For Disneyland: Space Mountain, Matterhorn, Splash Mountain, and Sorin' Over California were all closed by DOSH for inadequate fall protection. Meanwhile Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage remains closed because of a fire on the Seafarer. Ouch!
Any one else hear of this and can confirm the news? I haven't been able to find any further information on the net yet.

When was it posted?

I am looking at a wait time app and it has Space, soain', and Matterhorn closed but no actual details. The others are apparently open.

No news on any of that, but it is early. Either way, it is good that they shut them down since they have given Disney a huge amount of warnings/fines and Disney chose not to act. Now they are getting out the rod.

Oh my. There have been some rumblings about Disney having been warned. This could be bad...

And rather polite of them to wait until after spring break rush to close the rides. Could have made for an ugly scene with a full park and no activities.

With the Matterhorn just having gone through it's refurb, why wouldn't they have addressed these concerns with that attraction at the very least?! :?

So far it sounds like the report is false as some rides were closed as planned, not abruptly, some are still operating, and no mention of a fire.

From what I recall, the governor may have given CAL-OSHA some teeth to enforce the rules when fines aren't working.

Here is a link to the Cal/OSHA citation http://www.dir.ca.gov/dosh/citations/Th ... 531715.pdf
And here is a link to just the summary of the violation http://www.dir.ca.gov/dosh/citation.html
