Re: Soft Openings before new Fantasyland
Thanks for all the info! We will miss those November dates... but I am hoping the new Test Track will be open when we are there!
Re: Soft Openings before new Fantasyland
The detail in the queue for TLM alone are worth any wait it might have!

I wonder if they worked out any the bugs on TLM USA from its DLR counterpart? I did notice it seems that got rid of the Ariel with the Dole Whip hairdo...

Re: Soft Openings before new Fantasyland
Sounds like they didn't since there still is no plot.

I meant the technical glitches. And when was plot needed? Does the HM have a plot?

When you are a story driven attraction, it's usually required.
That is one of the big failings of the mermaid abomination, they leave it out so there is no expanation as to why those white mermaids hate that black woman.

We were there earlier this week and were able to ride "Under the Sea-Journey of the Little Mermaid" with very little wait and also were able to go inside the "Be Our Guest" restaurant. Gaston's Tavern was also open for business.
Re: Soft Openings before new Fantasyland
I am hoping to get one more visit in during my next work trip before my pass expires on 11/15.

Re: Soft Openings before new Fantasyland
All I know right now is that they have been doing soft openings the past few days. I have a friend on Facebook who is currently in WDW and they posted pictures of a character meet-up with all 7 dwarfs and some pictures on TLM. It looks amazing and I do hope that the 7 dwarf meet and greet is something Disney keeps.

True! I would love a photo with all 7 Dwarves. My little girl can wear her Snow White dress. I will be there this week. Come on free preview!

But it's pricey - it's far more cost effective in labor costs to have a meet & greet with 1-2 characters as opposed to 7 characters.

Re: Soft Openings before new Fantasyland
Do those character things normally onoy run for a brief period and then close or do they just run all/most of a day, rotating workers?

If I'm not mistaken, the 7D M&G is for MNSSHP, not Fantasyland... yet.Len90 wrote:they posted pictures of a character meet-up with all 7 dwarfs. It looks amazing and I do hope that the 7 dwarf meet and greet is something Disney keeps.

Re: Soft Openings before new Fantasyland
That might be the case. Forgot the photo was taken on a MNSSHP night. That would be amazing if Disney made the meet and greet a permanent thing, but I guess that would be doubtful at best.MadEye wrote:If I'm not mistaken, the 7D M&G is for MNSSHP, not Fantasyland... yet.Len90 wrote:they posted pictures of a character meet-up with all 7 dwarfs. Re: Soft Openings before new Fantasyland
They opened up more nights for passholder previews, doing a sort of lottery (they call it a "sweepstakes") to fill up the time slots. Fortunately, I got Wednesday 11/14 from 930pm to 1am. Perfect because a) I am taking a work trip to Orlando that day and b) my pass expires the next day!
