Nothing special besides matching shirts for the birthday boys (my wife's idea, I promise). A lot of time at my son's favorite park, AK (whoo, hooo... ) and a Jedi battle with Darth Vadar for all of the kids (6 total). It's looking like AK, then MK (until midnight) on Saturday, then DHS and HOPEFULLY EPCOT afterwards for some Food and Wine on Sunday.

Unfortunately, I'm sure there is an age limit on who can participate in the Jedi training and battle with DV. If not, you know I'd be right on that stage battling with them!

Exactly. If they give me any flack about it, I'll just bring up Walt's philosphy that his was a park to be shared by the young and old alike. Then when they still say no, I'll just say a young lady in Guest Relations told me that I could! haha....

15 days this year. We managed to get an extra day at the beginning of the holiday.

That's terrible! I totally understand your reluctance. When a loss is so painful and fresh, you want to do everything to avoid perpetuating that pain. I am hopeful that your happy memories will override the negative feelings so you will one day return to Disney. It would be a great way to honor his memory, don't ya think?

That is along the lines of what I was thinking. Hopefully with a little time, you will be able to remember more of the happy times, and maybe a trip in a year or so to Disney to laugh and cry and remember would be a helpful healing process ~ remember we are here for you

It is gonna be so hard in February, when we are supposed to be be there and I will be at home or at work...

I wanna go back to Disney so much.. I have been watching various home movies and such stuff shot at Disney and Epcot all day today... But watching it will be so much different than being there without him.

Just remember, time helps heal. It doesn't make you forget, but it does make it easier to remember the good times and not dwell on the loss.
