Soft Openings before new Fantasyland
Does anyone know...
If there will be a possible soft opening of Fantastyland or maybe the new Test Track? Turns out we will be there a few days ahead of the 'grand openings' and I'm hoping we will see some of the new stuff.

Cast member and DVC and Annual Passholders so far are the only ones for Fantasyland announced. Cast come first of course, then guests. MK cast got first pick and I was very excited about that.

You mean execs and managers come first before the drones.

Well, if you are counting the drones they use as crash test dummies...

Well as a passholder I got an invitation to go to a "passholder only" event but it was for days that we won't be there. I am hoping that there will be soft openings of the new Test Track!!

It is, I was there today. I'll post pictures when I return home.

They've been doing previews for the Belle meet-and-greet for about six weeks now. The full guest preview won't come till after the cast get their chance to see it all.

Anyone know how long the soft launch is going to last? I'll be there in 12 days and would DIE if I could get in!
Re: Soft Openings before new Fantasyland
Probably not much longer, cast only full previews launch in 6 days and go for almost two weeks.

Re: Soft Openings before new Fantasyland
If wdwmagic.com is correct, the schedule for soft openings is as follows:
Soft openings began October 12 2012, running from 10am to 6pm. It is expected, but not guaranteed, that these will continue for the remainder of this week from approx. 10am to 6pm.
Cast Member only previews are being held October 20, 21, 22, 23 24, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 31, November 1, 2. During this time, it is expected that only cast members will be able to enter, and it is unlikely that any regular parks guests will be admitted.
Annual Passholder previews are being held on Nov 3, Nov 10, Nov 11. As with the cast member previews, it is expected that regular park guests will not be admitted during these dates.
D23 member previews are being held on November 3 and November 4. It is expected that regular park guests will not be admitted during these dates.
DVC member previews are being held on November 4 and November 5. It is expected that regular park guests will not be admitted during these dates.
Officially announced previews for all guests begin on November 19 2012. During this time you can typically expect the land to be open to all guests, but since it is still in previews, it may close at any time.
The grand opening is December 6 2012, when the land is officially declared open and should operate as normal along with the rest of the park.
