 Not exactly!

I was referring to a couple of (IMO) reliable insiders on other Disney sites/forums.

Some rumors to throw out about what they've done to BTMRR:

Total reconfiguration of the queue, air conditioning in the queue, new AAs in certain places.

I, for one, hope the air conditioning rumor is true!

But then you wouldn't feel like you were in the old west...in the desert...

I'm just kidding...there are only about 3 months out of the year when that queue is somewhat bearable. The other 9 are agony. Any kind of A/C is welcome.

UPDATE: Video of the queue and ride.

Keep in mind this is a soft opening and not all the effects are working (I hope).

Wow...the paintwork looks fantastic! You don't realize how faded everything was until you see it restored to its original condition.

It was weird watching the video and going through the queue with the new layout, after getting used to the way it was before. It looks there is a chance there could be A/C in the queue, but I'm still not sure. I did see some large A/C ducts when the camera panned up, but I wasn't sure if that was just for the boarding area which obviously does have A/C.

Apparently they were there to just cover something while they work on finishing it (unless it is already finished and then we'll see soon, probably).

I'm guessing we have no SSRers there today...

Also...I wonder how much the tropical storm is impacting the reopening today.

Big Thunder Mountain has been closed for most of the day with lightning in the area (oh the irony!). I was going to go to MK today but not a chance now.

Ironic indeed!
That's really too bad the weather has put a damper on the reopening :(

The ride looks lovely! Not that it was bad before, but it really needed the refurb. I was surprised at how similar it was to the old BTMRR, though, especially given how long the refurb was. I hope the AC thing is true!! I think I got heatstroke waiting in that queue one time!

I'll report first hand in a couple of days when I am down there. From the pictures it does look like they did a nice job.

Shows how much time I've had.... I didn't even know it was back up. Nicely done on the refurb and I'll give it a go soon to see what changed- if anything.
