That was last year's commercial (and possibly the year before) they recycle them and added a world of color segment to the advert.

We actually had a different commercial last year. I had not seen this one before...perhaps it's because I'm not in SoCal.

I saw it again this morning and forgot to mention Captain Hook riding on Ghost Galaxy, being terrified, having his picture taken, then being hassled by the rest of the villains when they see his picture.

I'm trying to remember last year's commercial, but it wasn't this one.

But not here on this side of the USA. They don't advertise for WDW for Halloween, only for the "holidays".

That's surprising, I think, I know WDW doesn't get as many locals but at the same time your halloween events are larger in scale. The ones they do here are mostly for locals, like with all the theme parks.

I just wanted to throw this little post in here because Micechat is changing up the Dateline Disneyland and the In the Parks posts around for the next few weeks leading into mid-October. Dateline Disneyland will now be posted on Thursdays instead of Mondays so they can show Halloween stuff and the like. It's mentioned in this post in the beginning where the editor's note is: http://micechat.com/blogs/in-the-parks/ ... ction.html

I was looking at the DCA stuff on wiki today and noticed that (while unsuported) it looks like I may have been right that there wasn't going to be an attraction for the carthay cricle replica. There are two listed dining establishments for the area. The Carthay Lounge & Club Carthay, I'm guessing it may be like their other places where it's a full bar and restaurant.

I think the restaurant was said to be somewhere on the second level but I could be wrong.

I believe you are correct. I seem to remember it saying something about views of the park as you eat.

You're going to need a lot more altitude for "views" considering that there are taller buildings in the way in all directions.

This might have been what I was thinking about...from insidethemagic ~
As mentioned by Imagineers at the presentation in the video above, two-story Carthay Circle Theatre will offer a fine dining experience and comfortable lounge. In addition, a terrace will offer what they deemed as some of the park’s best parade viewing spots, with the new parade route running directly past the new location around the new hub. Disneyland’s fireworks will also be able to be seen from this vantage point, allowing Disney California Adventure guests to take in a little extra entertainment.

"best parade viewing spots" - does that mean they think ELP will return to DCA even though there's a conflict with the route and WoC waiting/seating?

I don't think they are, for that exact reason. Parades never really worked well for DCA, except for the ones where they were more like light magic and had a rolling stage that made stops vs a parade.

I just want the ELP to return to DLR where it belongs. I don't know if DCA is going to have more parades to go with the parade viewing area.

I would also like the ELP to return to DLR just because I miss it. I also dont know how its doing in WDW though.
