The problem with living in the south is that there are a lot of country music stations. I wish that was just a stereotype, but unfortunately it is not. So I spend quality time with my iPod.[/quote]

I'm in Oklahoma and can't get a single quality radio station ... period. Therefore I'm a XM radio guy/iPod/Subsonic person. Why does radio stink so much?

Speaking of Disney withdrawals ... I qued up the magic kingdon entrance loop on my itunes yesterday and when it started playing my wife yelled ... "You gotta stop ... it makes me wanna leave for our trip NOW!"

I Love it!

Wow ~ that is hard to believe that anything cost only 25 cents at Disney

Actually, back in the 70's and most of the 80's the prices at the park weren't that bad. They certainly didn't increase the admission annually (ore more often) like they do now. I remember the prices on some of souvenir items were even more reasonable back then too...

Wow, what a memory that just flooded back to me. I used to collect those large park maps from each of the parks I used to visit and/or when new attractions were added. But, more importantly, I remember them being 50 cents! Wow.

Do they still have the poster maps nowadays? If so, does anyone know how much they cost?

I love the music, Its a lot like soundtrack music, you can remember parts of the park or it remind's you of something.
I have to say it is hard to believe that anything cost that little even then.

I listen to Subsonic because it takes me to my Happy Place all day long at work and at home. I would be so lost and unhappy without it! Thank you for this website!!

It reminds me of being the parks, so I'm happy, and its so great listening to the music that you wouldn't necessarily request.. i/e peter pan entrance line and the music when you fly above London etc... It's so fun! :D

You know, I didn't ride the horse drawn trolley on Main St. until I was much older because as a kid I remember you would have to pay 10 cents to ride...and Dad didn't want to pay.
Aside from that, I do remember value in going to the parks...now everything is overpriced and quality has gone downhill...

But I do love to listen to theme park radio for memories..especially of those attractions that no longer exist or have changed over the years. (and it gives me a fix for those long droughts from the parks..)
