No. It doesn't get hum-drum at all. I am sure there are a lot of Orlandoans have never been to Disney, but I lived there for 6 years and NEVER EVER got tired of Disney. :)

I honestly worry about this. I know it's really different but I live relatively close to a Six Flags park and have not been to it in 10 years. I live within 4 hours of both Hershey and Dorney Park. I was at Dorney once in 2005/6 and I've only gone to Hershey once or twice in the past 7 years but I have been to Lancaster at least 5 times in that period. These things make me happy to be a 2.5 hour plane ride away from Orlando. It really makes it a vacation destination for me.

I can't tell when was the last time I went to Six Flags, and as for the other places you mentioned: never...

I live hours away by car, been more times in my life than I can keep track, and yet I don't find WDW hum-drum yet...

I would prefer to live about 2 or maybe 2 and half hours away from Orlando. You're close enough where it's a one tank trip and you're far enough away were it's not everyday.
I'd prefer to live as close as possible so I could go whenever I had some free time!

I've lived in Tampa and we went all the time. Never got old. Then I did my two college programs... nope. I can't get enough of being there, really. It's a place I go to forget the outside world. So I'm a lot happier when I'm at Disney. Which is part of why I'm planning on making the move back permanently in the winter.

Though I will say, it IS different when you work there. Being there for a job, well... it's a job. Half the time, I didn't even think about the fact I worked at Disney World. I just considered it a job. It didn't get boring being there EVERY day.

Not hum-drum at all. How? Don't go every single day like a fool! Spread your visits out and it'll be fine.
We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

Yeh, it's a shorter trip from Jacksonville than it is from Miami...

Haha, I didn't spread my visits out at all. I would go to Epcot most days when I wasn't working, if for no other reason than to walk around and ride Imagination and such!!!!

Yeah, I would imagine I would go as often as I could. Maybe take in an attraction or two, have a nice meal or snack, sit and relax and soak up the atmosphere while listening to the background music ~ ahhh!

Yeah, I couldn't afford to eat every time, but I ate when I could and mostly rode the rides and such. I had a yearly pass for some of the time I was down there, well most of the time. So that was nice.
That is pretty much what I did, and it was wonderful. I miss it.. A LOT.

Sounds like the two of you need to meet up (but if you'e the same person, it could be very awkward meeting yourself like that)....

They could just pretend they are looking in a mirror ~ nothing awkward about that!

Well, you could always meet yourself and discover he/you is just not the type of person you would want to hang out with at a theme-park. If neither of you like roller coasters - then who's going to ride Space Mountain? Yep, awkward...
