Ok, I know this is an old post, but I have to share what F1gment was saying today about Pooh's honey wall. She told me that this next trip she is going to play with the honey wall, since she did not get to see it close up this past trip. I replied with what basically amounted to "Ick ~ too many germs" and she said that she would only touch up high. Then she mused that it probably didn't matter since the honey probably recirculated anyhow....I looked at her and she was being quite serious. So I asked her, Mom, you do know the honey wall is a screen right? And she laughed and said of course, but the screen scrolls down all the time right? I couldn't help but laugh!

Wow. Just, wow!!!

I can guarantee you that now that the new queue has been open for a few months, those honey walls are worse than before, especially with christmas/new years and spring break crowds who have touched it.

I would hope they clean it nightly, or at least weekly, or at the very least monthly...don't you suppose they clean it? I know I would have to use hand sanitizer after touching it and then go wash my hands after that

I prefer to touch and taste the real deal - not some wall made to look like it...

Of course they (try to) clean it. Then again, it depends on the CM "cleaning" them. Remember, not everything can be cleaned away with whatever is in those spray bottles they use.

Not germophobes... realists.

Rumor: Rock work is starting. There are no pics that I've seen to confirm so take with a grain (a very small grain) of salt.

Strange timing, IMHO, but a very detailed Beast's Castle is on top of the Be Our Guest Restaurant but it is clearly unfinished.

They must have been working on that prior to construction? Or maybe they outsourced the topper? Or maybe they are making sure everything fits? Or they're just giving guests something to buzz about?
It does seem odd that they would plop a finished castle on top of ongoing construction

Maybe the rock work has to be built around it and attached to it. You can see the bridge to the castle just stops in mid air. There has to be a cliff attached to it. That cliff needs to be built to complete the castle diorama.

I think that's exactly right. Not a lot can be seen above the walls, but the Beast's castle can.
Btw, Emilie and I were talking about the Beast's castle over the weekend. She thinks Paris Disney missed the boat by not making the castle there Belle's castle. I agree with her. It would have made sense.

You have a point there Big, DLP opened in 1992 and Beauty and the Beast was released in 1991. That would have been tight to put Belle's castle in, unless they had been planning ahead.
