On one hand it's sad to hear, but I guess once new construction starts it will be happier and exciting.

Good to see Disney is not wasting any time with the construction. I think pretty soon we will be talking about some new foundations being laid.

Whatever it is that they are building around whatever is not demo'd, they have to do plumbing and electrical work so I give it another month or two depending on how many new structures there are.

Yes, I'm just hoping at a much faster pace. I actually wish they would keep SWSA and make the mine car roller coaster a high speed journey through a days work for the dwarfs. Considering all of the movies that have multiple attractions, I don't think it would have been bad for Snow White - the original Disney movie - to have 2 attractions.

Some movies may have multiple attractions - but they have them in the same parks? Toy Story has Buzz Lightyear and TSMM, but both are in two different parks. I'm having a hard time trying to think of any Disney movie that has 2 attractions within the same park.

I know Magic Carpets of Aladdin/ETR:UNM (be nice, I'm probably the only person who loves it ), but can't think of another right now. The way I described it they would have been very different attractions and I think it would have worked. Plus, if anyone was going to get two attractions in a park, I would think that Mickey and the Gang, Snow White, or Cinderella should be allowed to. But obviously this isn't the route they went with it, I just was saying I thought it would be nice that way.

I agree, it wouldn't have been the worst thing in the world for Snow White to have 2 attractions, and there's no rule they cant have 2 in the same park, especially if theyre 2 diff types of rides; but it's a demand thing, theres demand for princess stuff now, so they're going that way.

It's just kind of ironic that with all of the stuff they are doing to Fantasyland, that they couldn't have built a building for Princess meet and greet. Even though the original ride isn't a highly visited attraction, the more attractions they have, the more things people have to do to keep them busy and help keep the lines more reasonable. I know it's cheaper for them to repurpose building they already have, but I wish they did less replacing and more building completely new attractions without removing others.

Actually, a very large area of the original expansion plans had various meet & greet spots for the princesses. Upon review, it was determined that too much area had been dedicated to this purpose, so it was replaced with the Dwarf Mine Car roller coaster, and to put the Princesses into the spot currently inhabited by Snow White's Scary Adventure.

I agree that it seems like they would have built a new building for the meet n' greet. That would have kept one of the original dark rides intact which would have been nice...

I knew it was in the original plans quite substantially. I remember when the original announcements came out it seemed like it was all decorations and meet and greet. As a whole, I was underwhelmed since I'm an attractions girl, but figured at least others would spend time there and not be waiting in line in front of me. I don't understand why they went from all of that grand plan to nothing - I'm sure they could have managed one average meet and greet building somewhere.

Maybe some meet & greets may be retained outside of the one to be built into SWSA. Maybe Ariel's will be somewhere near the TLM ride? Maybe Belle's will be near the Beauty & Beast restaurants? I haven't seen a final blueprint of the revised area, so who knows what is planned to go where?

If I am not mistaken, Ariel will have a M&G connected to the TLM ride building. If you look close, there are cave entrances/exits in the rock work in the concept art. And I believe Belle's M&G/interactive (I think) story telling will be in her cottage between Village Haus and the BaTB restaurant.

Oh, I had gotten the impression that all of the princesses were now going to where SWSA is currently. I guess that makes more sense.
