What is a PC? At DisneyQuest, there's usually not been a wait (or maybe only 10 minutes) to get to design your coaster. At SoAT that is where your 30 minute or whatever wait is going to be. The wait for the simulator is short at both attractions - I would say 5 minutes maximum usually.mindflipper wrote:You make it sound like they need to add a PC or two to handle the line for creating the coaster...Polynesian Princess wrote:Both Sum of All Thrills and Virtual Space Mountain allow the guests to design a roller coaster track that they then have the opportunity to ride (only Virtual Space Mountain is a lot more thrilling, despite what the names might suggestWizzard419 wrote:It might have only been a proposal I read, since the conept was that the guests would do something similar to Virtual Space Mountain with custom picked moves.). They don't have anything similar to a fastpass system at Virtual Space Mountain either. At both attractions you wait in line to get to a computer where you design your ride, then you get a card that has your ride saved on it. You wait in a second (usually pretty short) line for the simulators.

I wouldn't think so. Those Kuka arm ride systems are really expensive and it isn't something a lot of people would want to do, waiting in the queue, watching a movie, going to the trouble of designing their own ride, waiting to ride their designed ride. That might be a little too much waiting for some people, and too thrilling of a ride for a lot as well.mindflipper wrote:I wonder if they had thought about expanding Sum of All Thrills to increase its capacity?

But this is a perfect example of that guest interactivity with the rides that Disney loves so much right now! It's better than making interactive queue lines!Amy wrote:I wouldn't think so. They've grown in popularity actually, but the level at which the epcot (and some other parks) is a little more limited. The really popular application for the robo arms is in "robo-coasters" like Harry Potter.Amy wrote:I wouldn't think so. Disney kind of did a catty thing though with Sum of all Thrills with the press conference. They noted how they were the first park in the state to open a robo arm thrill ride, beating out HP's claim to it.
