Thank you :D
You'll have a great time in Asia! Make sure you hit Pooh first in DL to get a fastpass. And Journey to the Center of the Earth at DisneySea! Take lots of photos to share from Hong Kong DL. I would love to see some of that park :D

The booking website just went live for the days we will be in Tokyo and all of the rooms are already sold out! I imagine that it is going to be packed when we are there. :)

We're going to have to try calling to book our reservations. Just adds to the adventure. I'm super excited about DisneySea.

When are you planning on going? I would keep checking constantly and hope something opens up...It really is worth it to stay on property. I lucked out and booked when I arrived at the park. My friends that I was planning on visiting had to work when I first arrived in Japan, so I simply checked in and did my Disney thing before meeting up with them three days later. That was in the second week of December though so I don't think that was one of their busier seasons.

July 17 - July 20
I know that website availability differs from what is available when you call. We want to stay in the Disneyland Hotel. I'll likely give them a call today/tomorrow.

Another advantage to staying on property you can be more assured of finding people who can speak english. Plus, doesn't Disney have shuttles straight from the hotel to TDL?

We're actually starting the trip in HKDL on July 3 and then wrapping up the Asia trip in TDL/Kyoto/Tokyo at the end of the month.

Well, I didn't do a very good job with my August trip report and never had a chance to even start the D23 Magic and Merriment trip report, but I promise I will try.

In all fairness, we are only able to do this trip because we used a combination of airline miles and Hyatt points to pay for pretty much everything else on the trip, plus, we got a great rate on jetsetter.com for the Banyan Tree Koh Samui, so we'll spend a week there. Without these three options I think the trip would be completely priced out of our league.

Yes, they do. Their shuttle buses are called "Disney Resort Cruiser"s and are AWESOME!! I will have pictures of them up...eventually. They are really cute and plush :D

Ok, we'll continue our little photo journey through TDL, by visiting Toontown...which was very similar to DL :D
You'll notice that I was at DL on two different days, one rainy and one sunny :P

Their Jolly Trolley was operational while I was there. I know the last time we were at DL in Cali, their Jolly Trolley no longer ran :(

Here I am on the Jolly Trolley ~ I still get a kick out of this photo since my hair bleached blond while I was in Africa and Australia, plus I am actually tan for practically the first time in my life

Gadget's Go Coaster is much like the Barnstormer in WDW, but longer...and with some cool Rube Goldberg-esque-ness!

There will be more to come...soon I hope!

What great pics, Amy. Thanks for posting them.

You know, even though they were from back in 2003, I found myself looking for Duffy in the photo of everyone sitting in front of the entrance. What happens at Rope Drop? Do they stampede like us or walk politely (or something in between)?

Those were the pre-Duffy years ;) The good old days as NaCler would probably say!
As for the rope drop, the guests RUN to wherever they are going. It is so funny because everyone waits so politely...until they are allowed in, then it is every guest for himself!
