Please, everyone, be patient as we are still waiting for some Mayhem Marauders to post their trip reports. Amy, F1gment, and the double-boilers are enduring the shivering cold, and the Mousekecouple are shivering from enduring a cold. Plus, I'm betting boilerbabe is suffering a really bad case of WDW withdrawal as well...

And that's why even a cold day in Disney is better than a day farther north. Our high today is 12.

My thoughts and prayers have been with (and continue for) those who are dealing with the treacherous weather right now. I hope all is well!

Re: Dec 2010: Mayhem Invades Disney World!!!
I texted Boilerbabe yesterday to see how they are doing. All is well. I finally unpacked today and moved my clothes from being a pile in my suitcase to being a pile on the bench at the end of the bed.
It's tough to actually do work while you are sick. I am just so thankful for all those years of shopping and doing laundry before I left. I figure I can go into next week before having to wash clothes....
M-dude can tell you we have enough clothes to clothe 1/2 of America. It's times like this what you wish you could afford a maid.
In looking through my pictures, Mousekedude managed to capture why it is that Boilerdude and I got sick on our trip......

NOTE TO SELF....DON'T TOUCH THE HONEY WALL!!!!!! I ask, what was Disney thinking???????
The funny part is that the Boilers and I had already had a lengthy conversation on RnR about the "marble door" in the RnR queue that everyone is so facinated with and wants to touch. We all agreed hands down that this was the worst idea Disney ever came up with and sure fire way to quickly spread germs. I guess somehow I thought if I touched the Honey Wall up high where grubby little kids could not reach it would be safe.
The next day B-dude and I were showing the first signs of getting sick.
Over a week later and I am still paying dearly and passed it on to my DH....
I guess we should all continue with our trip reports. It may be a while before Amy and the Boilers can get back on. When they do, we can digress.

Does anybody out there have the CDC in Atlanta on speed-dial? Sounds like this thing could be worse than an epidemic?Mouseoholic wrote:

That's an easy one. Disney thinks most guests will wash their hands after touching it and all the handrails, chains and ropes in most of the ride queues.Mouseoholic wrote:In looking through my pictures, Mousekedude managed to capture why it is that Boilerdude and I got sick on our trip......

We touched all of the honey walls the week before you got there and we washed our hands before eating at Pecos Bills and we didn't get sick at all.
We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

Maybe the really cold weather, and extremely late nights contributed to the Mouskecouples' sickness ~ I'm sure both of them used copious amounts of hand sanitizer after enjoying playing in the honeyMadEye wrote:...That's an easy one. As anyone who was there can attest, M-dude is a germophobe and carries around copious amouts of hand sanitizer. We all cleansed our hands throughly afterwards. It was a joke. We did get sick but I am sure Amy is right, there were many many late and cold nights at WDW on this past trip. M-dude did not get sick until days after our return.Amy wrote:Maybe the really cold weather, and extremely late nights contributed to the Mouskecouples' sickness ~ I'm sure both of them used copious amounts of hand sanitizer after enjoying playing in the honeyMadEye wrote:...That's an easy one. Personally, the sword in the stone shots were some of my favorites.
