I don't think I have one, but my friends from the UK tell me I have. They freely admit they do (and boy! do they...).Jacca5660 wrote:I was born and raised in Brooklyn and have lived in the south for over 30 years, no accent here! No non at all!!

Re: Single Rider
Apparently Midway Mania out in California Adventure has eliminated single rider. This angers me, since I always go on Midway Mania by myself, unless I am challenged to a duel.

Re: Single Rider
Is eliminating single rider possible Disney's reaction to Universal Studios front of the line pass? Sort of Disney's way of saying everybody is equal?

Re: Single Rider
That's kind of a shame, but I had not seen single rider open in ages either.

Re: Single Rider
I hope Disney isn't planning something similar to US and selling the privilege of skipping to the front of the line. That would make a poor folk like me very unhappyJacca5660 wrote:Is eliminating single rider possible Disney's reaction to Universal Studios front of the line pass? Re: Single Rider
Amy - I HATE the way Universal handles their "fast passes." You can buy them at the gate or you get it free if you stay on site at one of their hotels. Basically everyone waits as a result.

I just don't like the "entitlement" thing. It just doesn't sit right with me and doesn't seem to be what Walt would have envisioned...NaCler wrote:Amy - I HATE the way Universal handles their "fast passes." Re: Single Rider
Even worse the Universal Studios "Express Pass" is not a flat price - the price increases as the limited daily volume sells out. That just seems to money-grubbing for me...

Re: Single Rider
Are you serious?? Did they have a reason as to why they got rid of it?Dr. Ravenscroft wrote:Apparently Midway Mania out in California Adventure has eliminated single rider. This angers me, since I always go on Midway Mania by myself, unless I am challenged to a duel.
Re: Single Rider
Only reason I can see them getting rid of something is that, like the TSM and Soarin' here at WDW, it wasn't working.elizabethswann wrote:Are you serious?? I split my time between Ft Myers and Brooklyn while I was in High School. I pretty much left Brooklyn for good when I turned 18 and joined the Navy.

Re: Single Rider
It does seem like they have been getting rid of the single rider lines from some attractions - is it because of all the people who abuse it? Who get in the line and then pitch a fit that they all can't ride together...MadEye wrote:Only reason I can see them getting rid of something is that, like the TSM and Soarin' here at WDW, it wasn't working.elizabethswann wrote:Are you serious?? Re: Single Rider
That is probably one of the reasons. Also I don't think people understood what the single rider thing actually was. I also heard that people complained about "ringers" getting all the points leaving the person that waited in line for XX minutes a few scraps worth of points. Indy still has Single rider, which I witnessed being abused several times last week when I was there. I had a family do single rider, then a group of 4 friends both groups, when they got to the front, said they wanted to be together and after the CM looked in disgust caved in and let them. I understand that the CM's get upset and give in after a while, but if Disney cracked down on it as a whole they could make it better for those that are true single riders. Disney has to learn that to keep quality high you have to be hard nosed about certain things to make the experience better overall.mindflipper wrote:It does seem like they have been getting rid of the single rider lines from some attractions - is it because of all the people who abuse it?
