To be completely honest (and this is coming from a life long Red Sox fan) I would want another Yankees/Phillies World Series. Two quality teams with extremely passionate fans. Fan reaction to plays on the field make baseball (and especially playoff baseball) that much more exciting.

You sound like an ESPN Exec. That's the series that would make them the most money!

No, I sound like a baseball fan that wants to see good baseball. Not a bullpen that surrenders 7 runs in 2.1 innings like Atlanta has tonight. And the Phils are threatening again in the ninth.

No, San Francisco-New York would get far better ratings. Phillies are the better team, and have more marketable players, but the Giants have Lincecum and the entire West Coast market behind them.

It would be a great story if they could win it all. But if the bullpen pitches like they did over the weekend, they will have a hard time winning a series.

Can't wait until Wednesday! Three games starting at 1:30!

I disagree. NY is the top market in the country. Philly is 4th. No one outside of the bay area cares if the Giants get bounced round one or win it all. Especially in Los Angeles. I will say this, SF has fans that are into it. They will sell out the park for the playoff games (I'm looking at you Atlanta and Tampa). To see them in the Series wouldn't be a bad thing.

Nothing made me happier than opening up that email from the mets ownership this morning informing the fans that Omar and Manuel were done. I hope that broom keeps going as we have a lot of cleaning up to do.

You were the first person I thought of when I saw that. Finally looks like Fred is serious about turning them around.

Now the big question is who will be the next GM? And will they have a say in who will be the next manager.

That would be interesting. The Yanks would be more upset b/c the Mats would take over the back pages of the Post and Daily News. Hanky Panky would not allow that! The Yanks would go out and trade for Jesus Christ to get the back pages back!

I MUST ask because I have heard about this a lot with the Jets as well. What's so important about the back page? I thought the back page is where you put the things that don't matter in the news? Shouldn't they be talking about making the front page?
