That's exactly what I was thinking! The singing part alone looked like it was great funMmeLeota wrote:I am so jealous of those who got to go to Destination D! Looks like it was an AMAZING event!!!

You might not want to go this week, if you step outside you may burst into flames.
One thing I really hate about all these things (been to industry ones too) is that there is a giant tease and you just want to punch the speaker and take the thing being shown but alas it's only pictures. Don't get me started on projects that are hyped and never materialize.

That's probably the one aspect that I was looking forward to the most! I love Tracie Thoms and John Tartaglia!!! (almost got to meet John at last year's expo too...) When I found out that Tracie sang "Just One Dream" from the now-defunct Golden Dreams, I went nuts. I love that song!Amy wrote:That's exactly what I was thinking! It wasn't humid on the hottest days but it's starting to become humid now. Still nothing compare to pretty much any other part of the country.

That's good! Yeah, our humidity is on the rise as well (my water cup is "sweating")...but it too will still be considered dry to the rest of the country...even to you guys in SoCal.Wizzard419 wrote:It wasn't humid on the hottest days but it's starting to become humid now. It was a real pain on Monday and yesterday was humid. Today was a bit humid but the weather continued to change up with the random lightning storms and such.Wizzard419 wrote:It wasn't humid on the hottest days but it's starting to become humid now. Re: DCA Gets A Worthy Overhaul Budget
I just read through the latest MiceAge with the update on Carsland. I understand them being cautious about the stores and eateries in Carsland until they see actual attendance figures but how disappointing that there might just be empty buildings if the attendance figures aren't there

That is surprising that they would consider axing places that make money leap out of wallets. I'm sure there will at least be a gift shop at the exit of any larger attractions.

There are still plenty of gift shops slated to open when the land opens, it just was surprising they will have empty venues that won't open, maybe for a long time!Wizzard419 wrote:That is surprising that they would consider axing places that make money leap out of wallets. I'm late on this but here you are. I'll hopefully get a trip report from this past weekend's meetup unless subsonic or Dr. Ravenscroft have plans to do it.
