I just heard Soarin's line music on the broadcast station and I know I have heard it before on TV and in commercials/movies. What is the REAL name of it?

i believe the song you are refering to is called "destiny" its a strong ballad is it not,
as to who sings it i havn't got a clue.

many disney theme park songs are used in commercials as well as music played in the background of movies in thier scenes

Soarin' was composed in 2001 for the ride by Jerry Goldsmith who has done a lot of music for Movies and TV shows. He has a certain style to most of his popular songs, maybe that is why is sounds like you heard it somewhere else.

I know one of the tunes they play in the line is from Rescuers Down Under & it's called "Cody's Flight"... obviously the scene where Cody & Marahute are soaring high above Australia after he rescues her from the poachers trap.
