Six Flags Over Georgia's Newest Coaster

Post by Blackie Pueblo » Sep Wed 21, 2005 5:37 am

Busch Gardens can no longer claim they have the biggest roller coaster in the SouthEast. Six Flags, known for their thier ties to Looney Toons and coasters has announced the opening of their newest coaster, Goliath slated to open in April 2006.

Some stats:

Six Flags Over Georgia’s 11th coaster, the largest and tallest roller coaster in the Southeast. Soaring over 200 ft. above the park, so BIG, it will not fit inside the park, covering 8.5 acres in size.

GOLIATH is so large it had to be built outside the park. Extends over the Georgia Scorcher, past the front gate and back.

Starting at 200 feet in the air, taking you down 7 different drops ranging in height from 175 feet downward, GOLIATH is sure to stand as a GIANT among coasters.

200 feet is not that big for a coaster.

We have Goliath here at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia California. It is an intense coaster, definitely a lot of fun!

MM one is better, the one in Holland is also great as well but not as tall but alot of fun, This one looks like a simple B&M hyper coaster.
Love Tomorrowland and Adventureland, but hard to decide to which one is best.

Love RCT3

We have a B&M hyper coaster at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and the one at Six Flags in NJ is awesome - it's a great, high capacity addition to SFOG!

(But the first drop on SheiKra at BGT is still a taller plunge!) :D

I remember a coaster called the Z-force at SFOG, is it still there?

I went to SFOG last year. It was the first time my wife ever went. I don't remember seeing Z-force rick. Of course there were a couple of roller coasters we were not able to ride... I got sick after riding four hardcore coasters in a row.
