Very interesting to see the Celebrate signage has come down in DLR. While in WDW I did take note of how faded all of the signs were and was wondering if they were really meant to last for two years. Good to see construction progressing well in CA.

I'm glad the Celebrate signage came down. It was getting to be too much to see.

Just getting caught up on old micechat emails and noticed this little tidbit about the maliboomer being removed...here is the link http://micechat.com/forums/blogs/dateli ... -more.html
does anyone know why they are taking out the maliboomer?

Not sure the reasoning behind why the Maliboomer will be going away, but I do know that there will be a new park-like dining/sitting area will be going in that space.

Isn't it suppposed to be closed in Sept. 2010 or sometime in the fall?

Not sure but they had been debating here and there to get rid of it.

That's sad :(
Not that it is a quintessentially Disney ride or anything, but it did fit into the area and it was quite fun :D

Thanks for the link, Amy. I love all the kitchy stuff they're doing for the 50th.

Btw, the folks doing the sets for the Little Mermaid are a Calgary company. My daughter designed a roller coaster for her grade 8 project and one of their art design people was her mentor. She got to see pieces of it being constructed. She said it looks beautiful.

They've done great work for Disney and for Broadway. it's amazing that almost no one in Calgary knows they're here, though.

Here's a link to their website: http://www.fdscenechanges.com/

Thanks momeja...I'll have to check out the link once I get home from my baseball fun this weekend. My friend's laptop isn't the speediest
Calagary is too probably too far for a weekend trip...that would be fun to see if they have tours! But they probably don't :(

Ha ha! I spotted us in one of those pictures! Our backs are to the camera and we're the size of ants, but I know where we were at in the crowd...

I thought about that, but it's really hard to see. I might try it anyway.
