Now that you mention it, it does look like Mickey was smushed under SSEMmeLeota wrote:...I always thought it looked like Spaceship Earth was dropped on Mickey and all that was left was his arm hanging out.![]()
Good one MmeLeota
Re: Spaceship Earth Wand or No Wand
I was so happy when it was gone. Several years ago I bought a really nice digital camera and was so excited to take it t florida, but I never loved the pictures to Spaceship Earth till now. I finally got the pictures of the golf ball that I wanted for my computer

That is an excellent idea.Joe90 wrote: I love the tombstones, I'm on one........I wouldn't mind if they got moved to line the route from the parking lot into park.

I am a traditionalist, definitely no wand. Perhaps on a special occasion, but don't leave it up for any length of time.

I like that idea a lot. I honestly felt like I was walking through a cemetery when I entered through the main gate this year. I have also found that a lot of the pictures have faded and they really have not aged too well.Future Guy wrote:That is an excellent idea.Joe90 wrote: I love the tombstones, I'm on one........I wouldn't mind if they got moved to line the route from the parking lot into park.

We noticed that on our last trip too, alot of the pics. have faded! Have you ever noticed that alot of the pavers have faded too?! I would be really upset if I paid to have one of those done and it was then gone!Len90 wrote:I like that idea a lot. Disney states that if any of the engraved paving stones break, they replace with a generic paving stone, not a replacement of the engraved paving stones. I am also not surprised the metal imprinted images are fading on the EPCOT tombstones either; the Florida sun fades stop signs and street signs after a few years, I can't imagine it would be any kinder to those stone images at EPCOT.boilerbabe wrote:We noticed that on our last trip too, alot of the pics. have faded! I did not know that they didn't replace the engraved stones with other engraved stones. I am wondering what will come in another 5-10 years when all of the metal imprinted images are completely faded.mindflipper wrote:Disney states that if any of the engraved paving stones break, they replace with a generic paving stone, not a replacement of the engraved paving stones. I knew that was in the fine print when I got my paver brick. I figured it was worth a try to own a little part of the World anyhow...I want to go see it this year and see if it is still around almost 20 years later!Len90 wrote:I did not know that they didn't replace the engraved stones with other engraved stones.
