Seriously, are you the kind of person who plans which park for each day, which attractions, etc. I've noticed you have already mapped out which restaurants you plan to dine. Do you follow a strict plan or allow for spontaneity?
The dinner reservations are planned around the Extra Magic Hours. The park where we are eating dinner at will either be the park that is open late or the park that we will be in at the morning and has easy transport to the late park. For example, the monorail from EPCOT to MK will be needed. As far as what goes on inside the parks, that is totally spontaneous. There is no mapping out what attractions will be done when. The plan is relatively strict to make sure all the parks are properly covered and we can maximize our night time activities at the parks, but everything else is pretty free.
As far as vacation planning, not much has been done. However, come May 11 (when I am completely done with finals) I will be making up the spreadsheet with all the vacation information. We all make sure to carry around a copy of this.
It's funny...that's my dad all over!
I'm a planner...have every detail planned, but once we get to where we're going, the schedule becomes a mere suggestion and we fly by the seat of our pants. (dang gemini...I can't make up my mind...scheduled or spontaneous...it depends on my mood I guess

If you let me plan the trip, parts would be forgotten. An ADR would be missing here and there, forgot to book a return flight, lol It is better than Len takes care of this.

the saddest thing is this is 100% true. I honestly think that all the reservations would be booked for the wrong month or for places in DLR and not WDW!

C'mon, Len90, you're brother is really not that inept! He behaves that way so everyone in the family will go "Dang! Move aside, Mark, and let me do it." He has soooooo cleverly manipulated you all into doing it for him! You do all the planning, he gets the enjoy your work. I bet I can see him stretched out on the sofa resting while you're busy on your computer sweating over your vacation spreadsheet...
Oh yeh, Mark86, I got your number!!!

Gee, now my plan is exposed!!! You guys are really getting to know me well. The sad part is Len really enjoys doing that stuff. He could stay on the phone hours planning the vacation while I am on subsonic.

I have a brother too, Mark86. I know how it works.

To your brother, there's nothing sad about the planning phase. The sad part to him is when its all over and you're boarding the plane back home. However, if you want to do some sibling bonding, you could always sit down with him and help in the planning. Two minds are better than one, y'know.

Not scheduling a return flight sounds like a good mistake to me too! Oops, or darn, we're stuck in WDW!

I would say the Boilerdude wouldn't fall for it...but then again, he may be one who would make that "mistake"...

In a nutshell, that's our household! I love WDW just as much as my Mouseoholic, but she's the detailed planner of the family. So I get to enjoy all the mayhem after she does all the work.
But hey..... that works for us.! Syncronicity!

B-dude would be the one to make the mistake. When we go to Disney, he's always trying to figure out how we could stretch our stay just one more night!

What can I say, I've created a monster?! I'm not complaining though. It's nice when you and your DH share the same addiction.

boilerbabe: that's why I put the word "mistake" in quotation marks - he may call it that if he did it, but truthfully we know it really isn't that...and yet, it would be a mistake you could easily forgive him for...
