'Ohana: Honey Lime Dressing
1/2 cup honey
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup lime juice
1/4 cup diced white onion
1 cup canola oil
Place first 6 ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth. With the food procssor running, slowly drizzle in canola oil until well blended.
CURRIED PASTA SALAD Boma – Flavors of Africa Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Yield: 10 servings
Ingredients
1 pound Tri-Color Pasta (4 cups after cooked)
¾ cup Red Onion, diced fine
1 cup Red Bell Pepper, diced fine
1 cup Green Bell Pepper, diced fine
1 cup Celery, diced
1 cup Mayonnaise
½ teaspoon Granulated Garlic
1 ¾ tablespoons Sugar
½ teaspoon Ground Turmeric, toasted
1 tablespoon Curry Powder, toasted
To taste Salt and Pepper
Cook tri-color pasta and allow to cool.
In a large mixing bowl, mix the cooled pasta and all the other ingredients. Check the seasoning and adjust if needed.

Mickey Waffles
4 eggs, separated
1 cup milk
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt (optional)
2 cups flour
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla (optional)
Beat egg yolks and sugar in a bowl until light. Add cooled melted butter, milk and vanilla extract. Add flour, baking powder & salt, beat well. Beat egg whites until stiff and gently fold into batter. Bake and serve.
*Works best in a belgian waffle maker...shaped like Mickey of course!

Banana Bread Pudding - Boma
2 cups Milk
2 cups Heavy Cream
1 cup 3 T. Sugar
7 each Whole Eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
4 tablespoons Butter
3 each Bananas, sliced
5 cups Croissants, brioche, or challah bread, cubed or one whole loaf of Texas toast, cubed
Cut day-old croissant, brioche, challah, or Texas toast into cubes. Set aside.
In a large bowl and using an electric mixer, combine milk, cream, sugar, cinnamon, and beaten eggs.
In a 9x9 square or round pan, place one layer of bread on bottom. Place bananas on top, followed by a layer of bread.
Pour custard mixture over the entire dish, filling it 2/3 to ¾ full. Press top bread layer into custard to prevent the bread from drying out. Add more custard if necessary.
Place butter chunks on top of bread pudding.
Bake at 300 degrees for one hour or until an inserted knife comes out clean.
Serve with vanilla sauce (recipe below).
VANILLA SAUCE
3 cups Heavy Cream
1 ½ cups Milk
1 ½ teaspoons Vanilla Extract
9 tablespoons Sugar
2 tablespoons Cornstarch
6 each Egg Yolks
Heat up milk, vanilla, heavy cream, and sugar.
Combine cornstarch with egg yolks.
Once liquid boils, temper some of the liquid into the yolks and stir vigorously. Then return tempered yolks into the pot.
Turn off the heat and stir continuously until well combined and thickened.
Transfer the sauce into a bowl and set over an ice bath to cool.
And my absolute favorite!!!!

I got my DW one of those for Christmas 4 years ago. We also got the WDW cooking for kids. I think your idea might work! I know we can't be the only ones that make Mickey pancakes at home?

My fiance made me the pot roast from 50's Prime Time Cafe a few weeks ago. I must say, she did a mighty fine job. She's a good cook, so I am hoping our trip later this year can give us ideas for other things to fix when we return.

My favorite dish from the San Angel Inn Restaurante in the Mexico Pavilion (EPCOT):
Pollo a las Rajas
(4 servings)
4 chicken breast halves
5 tbs vegetable oil
1 large poblano chile
1 large Spanish onion
1 large red bell pepper
1 cup of (Mexican) chorizo, peeled and diced
1 garlic clove, chopped
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup half-and-half
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1. Season chicken with salt and pepper
2. Place chicken in a roasting pan and bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes, or until cooked
3. Heat 2 tbs of oil in a saucepan, and lightly saute poblano pepper until skin separating. Peel skin from poblano pepper. Make a slit and remove all seeds.
4. Slice onion, bell pepper, and poblano pepper into strips.
5. Heat remaining 3 tbs of oil a heavy skillet. Add chorizo, garlic, onion and peppers. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until onions and peppers are soft. Add sour cream, half-and-half, black pepper, and salt and simmer for 3 minutes.
6. On each serving plate, place 1/3 cup sausage mixture and one chicken breast half on top. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup of the shredded Monterey Jack cheese.
Note: Serve with warm tortillas on the side.
