You're right--eating is very important. We all know there is plenty of delicious food around World Showcase to snack on. If you plan on drinking around the world, be sure you're filling your stomach with food in adition to the alcohol. Trust me, you'll have a much more enjoyable experience. Pacing is also key. If you can give yourself about six hours, that would be perfect.rickeisenstein wrote:I enjoy drinking, and I enjoy Epcot, but isn't this a little excessive, how does one keep from passing out after drinking so much? I guess a hearty meal is in order before such festivities.
Anyone ever "Drink Around The World" at Epcot?

It's possible, but what are you going to do? Go on a feta cheese hunt at Epcot? I think if you just make sure you have food in your stomach in general, that will help absorb some of the alcohol.simplecomp wrote:I'm not sure if this is true or not but I heard if you eat Italion or Greek cheese( maybe any cheese for that matter) before drinking helps coat the stomach and reduces the alcohaol effect???

I have found the egg rolls in China and fish n chips in UK to be excellent food to take down along the way...
As far as "Not passing out"... it has a lot to do with knowing yourself and what you can drink... When I was in college, I could have flirted with doing this twice in one day... couldn't do that now, of course, but it all has to do with your individual reaction to alcohol.
Like I said originally... not for everyone!

I have wanted to try this myself but alas my financial situation is not of such that I can afford to do it (Just getting to WDW is a stretch) One time I saw a few of my former co workers getting on to mission space after drinking around the world, luckily I wasnt in the same cabin as they were.

I know plenty of people who would try to drink around the world there, and I plan on taping every moment of it too. all except the trips into the bathrooms to "taste it again"..

Price
How much does it cost to drink around the world at Epcot? I mean with the prices being high, how much cash should one bring for this activity?

I tipped when there was a bartender... when the place was a counter-service restaurant (Yakitori House, Casa de San Angel, etc) I don't think I did. And it's actually 11 drinks, not 8 or 9... the average drink was between $5 and $7.50, with the big exception being the Half Yard of Bass in UK... $10.50 or $11.50 I think...jrcohen wrote:mmm... eggrolls. When you think about it 70-80 isn't really that bad, you getting what 8,9 drinks. I guess the next question would be did the 70-80 include tip for you bartender, b/c then it makes it a bit less per drink?
