Remove Christmas files during off-season?

Post by kronk's angel » Jun Sun 12, 2005 5:11 am

I know lots of folks like hearing Christmas tunes all year, but I'd rather save them for the season...

Could they be pulled during the non-holiday season?

The Bear Country Xmas is bringing me down, man!
No, no... He's got a point.

Yeah - I'd go for that, much as I like them they are pretty out of season! Would be better to just see them during the season...

Yep, i agree with you 2. However much that i love listening to the
Christmas music, it should only become availible in e.g. november.

Aww. I like the seasonal tracks no matter what the season. To hold off those tracks for months is a bit unfair. They don't get requested too often.

Oh, and "Welcome Home."

I couldn't disagree more, myself... I prefer hearing Xmas-themed stuff in July sometimes... especially since it'll be ALL you hear once Thanksgiving passes, until New Year's... the best time for some of those tracks is off-season.

Especially for me, as I'm currently planning an Xmastime trip to WDW, just like I took last year... but anyway, I think "hiding" the seasonal tracks until the season itself would be a bad idea.

I love the station I listen to bring back memories make me happy. The X-mas themed music does the same. Play jingle bells or jingle bell rock and tell me you don't feel happy inside

I think you ran into a random block of christmas music. I find the seasonal music few and far between. They will not be taken out. Some people want to think of snow during the summer.

It was probably during the time that all the Paris tracks were added, and played one after the other. There was a small stack of Christmas tracks in there

True - like today, the jazzed up DLP Christmas tracks were actually nice with the 90+ heat wave going on. Though most times of the year we try to forget about the snow up here :D

I'm also glad that the Christmas music isn't being taken off...I'm also a big fan of Mansion Holiday.

I rarely see them come up, either...

We went to WDW between Christmas and New Year's 2003. It was very busy and the lines were a little longer, but it truly is a magical time of the year at Disney and anyone who goes regularly should plan at least one trip durring the holiday season. I enjoy hearing the holiday versions, beause it reminds me of that vacation. I gotta vote with the Christmas year round folks.

If you want all the special Xmastime stuff without the crowds, go the first two/three weeks of December. I did last year (10th-14th), and my girlfriend and I are doing it again this year (10th-17th)... crowds don't pick up until the week before Xmas because kids start getting out of school, etc... you get ALL the great stuff (Xmas trees everywhere, MVMCP, Candlelight Processional, Spectacle of Lights, etc) with Value Season-size crowds!
