There is never a problem with putting your hands up. There is plenty of clearance in the attraction. It just seems disorientating because of the darkness.

Any idea if the same is true at WDW? I seem to remember a story about a guest being separated from their finger at the top of the lift... It was enough to scare me into keeping my hands inside the vehicle at all times.subsonic wrote:There is never a problem with putting your hands up. There is plenty of clearance in the attraction. No soft openings yet. Just CM previews for the purpose of training the new crew. They are still on track for park guest soft openings closer to the July 4th weekend.
Forgot to add... The big orange ball that you fly around while in space has been removed. Consequently, it is much harder to figure out orientation now.

No idea, it was just all hear-say. My friend just said that they had a soft opening last Monday for about 15 minutes before the park closed. I can neither confirm nor deny this. Sorry.Gizmata wrote:I really really hope to next week when I am there.
Any idea how to find out when soft openings might be?

Nope. Have a friend who is a CM who rode when they were testing. All my info comes from him.subsonic wrote:Have you been on it?Club33Hopeful wrote:Forgot to add... The big orange ball that you fly around while in space has been removed. Consequently, it is much harder to figure out orientation now.

If it's the same track, yes I'm more interested in the visuals. Of course, having worked on the ride, I want to see how much smoother it is.
