Re: Skipper's Cantina Restaurant
yeah I just read that as well
It sounds pretty cool and I wonder if they will make it an Adventureland counterpart to BOG, using the new fandangled RFID/MDE technology to let you pre-order your food and whatnot.

I like this idea so much more than the Tiana rumors that were going around (good idea, just the wrong location for it).

OK, the previous post is a (somewhat) joke. But this would be great, especially if they carried on the jungle cruise humor in the restaurant.

I'm picturing something similar to Whispering Canyon Café. It should be a great experience (and popular too).

Re: Skipper's Cantina Restaurant
If I had to guess (and that's the most fun thing to do, right?), the servers will all be Jungle Cruise skippers trying to make a little extra scratch on their day off. I'm sure there will be a translation of the humor, and I kinda hope the interior is decked out like a bigger, restaurant version of Trader Sam's.Marty Moose wrote:OK, the previous post is a (somewhat) joke. I would hope they are serving something hard there, or at least leave loaded guns on the tables for the guests.

Re: Skipper's Cantina Restaurant
I really like the idea of ride themed restaurants! Can't get enough of a disney theme!
I'm trying to think about what would be another fun themed restaurant after a ride....

I think they had no idea how popular Be Our Guest was going to be. I love that it's a nice place to chill during lunch. A Jungle Cruise themed restaurant should be awesome if they theme it with the same feel as the ride since that it what has made the ride such a cult classic.

It's also nice to see that spot used as a restaurant again after such a long absence.

Re: Skipper's Cantina Restaurant
Funny every time we walked through there for the Tinkerbell meet and greet I always thought it was a waste of space. MK could really use another sit down. Lets hope the menu is something themed and not just burgers and hot dogs.

We can surely hope!rdeacon wrote:Lets hope the menu is something themed and not just burgers and hot dogs.
I have a feeling it will offer food similar to Kona Cafe at the Poly or perhaps Trader Sam's from Disneyland Hotel. That way you use things you know guests already like and you already have the ingredients coming in.
