My wife and I honeymooned at Walt Disney World. How about you? We're coming up on our 19th anniversary in about seven weeks. So I guess it worked for us.

Yep, we honeymooned for one week at the Grand Floridian and then followed it up with a one week cruise! No place better than Disney to honeymoon at!

I have always been interested in getting married at WDW. Any get married there? If so, how is it?

I'm getting married in March. We toyed with the idea of taking out honeymoon to WDW. We decided not to for 2 main reasons. 1) We want to relax. While we know WDW will be fun we'll also be running around all day. 2) We wanted to go to someplace unique and special. We know that we'll go to WDW many times in our lives.

We decided on a 10 day cruise around the Tahiti islands.

My girlfriend and I have always talked about getting married at Disneyland and honeymooning at Disney World, with a short cruise tossed on the end...

The cost involved in all that Disneyfication of our most special time together? Let's just say high. Bordering on prohibitive.

Which reminds me... I need to go buy lottery tickets. And ask for a raise...

My wife wants to renew our vows at WDW. Hmmm.

I got engaged in the Magic Kingdom, and went on our Honeymoon there. We were going to get married there too, but the costs were too high.

We Honeymooned @ walt Disney World. We did everything there was to do. Ate well too. All for roughly $500. That includes ticket, motel room (off grounds) and travel expenses. That was in 1980. All there was was the Magic Kingdom and a 3 day pass.

We Honeymooned at WDW in April '94. Couldn't think of a more fun place to go. I would recommend it to anyone. The only advise I would give to pace yourselves. We stayed off property tried to see everything at WDW and other Orlando area attracions like (can I say this here?) Sea World and Universal. You just end up too tired. A couple days planned just at the pool and not racing through the parks would have made the week even more enjoyable!

Have not done any of the above. Was hoping that a question would be popped this December when I was suppose to be there with my boyfriend of the last 5 years, however, it seems like my trip home to So. Cal will more likely not take place this year. So I can continue to dream and listen to SubSonic to fill my Disney fix!

We Honeymooned at Disney - We stayed at the Jr. Honeymoon Suite at Wilderness lodge! It was a great time. The Jr Honeymoon suite is hard to book (or at least was) as not many people in reservations know about it. We actually had to call back twice to get a reservationist that could book them. If I remember correctly there are only 2 in the Lodge. I suspect they were created because they were in a strange part of the hotel that couldn't fit 3 regular rooms but made a great spot for 2 largish rooms.

I'm not in a relationship, so, ah, neither! But I debate this with myself often. I think it would be enough for me to get engaged at WDW and take a random trip together here. Living and working down here takes away some of the appeal of actually being married here.

I'm a professional intern with the company right now and so are all my roommates. One is interning w/Wedding Services and I love to hear her stories about weddings. The quality is top notch and you can have some amazing options if you're willing to pay (like having your reception in the middle of the Wizard of Oz scene in the Great Movie Ride), but to me as a cast member it wouldn't feel enough like a get-away. The exception would be maybe if I went with an Intimate Wedding package and chose Sunset Cove in the Polynesian, but the limit is about 16 or 18 guests (I'm not sure if that includes the bridal party or everyone total), and my family and couple of bridesmaids alone would take up half or more!

My gf and I have talked about if we would ever want to honeymoon there someday. I think she concluded that she would rather relax in hawaii....I agree for the most part. For some reason, WDW doesn't seem the perfect honeymoon spot for people who like to laze around...

I always wondered what it would be like to work at disney. If it would take away some (all?) of the magic because you would then know how everything works and you wouldn't see "fun" anymore but "work".....

So, since you know firsthand - is WDW still as fun when you work there?
