Just wondering.....

I didn't even see the first round notification this time around
Did you apply cousininmiami??

I have applied 6 years in a row.... this is the first time I made it to round #2.

How cool! I don't know anything about the application process - do you apply to specialize in a specific aspect of Disney vacationing (runDisney, cruises, etc.)?

The application process is usually right around Labor Day each year. They accept up to 20,000 applicants and you do specify which parks or areas you are an expert in! Then there is some kind of a test on your Disney knowledge, an essay limited to a certain amount of words, and a picture of yourself if they ask for that.

Round 2 is where they narrow it down. A congratulatory email comes in with your next tasks, and you are given about 6 days to complete it. There were (7) Round 2 questions each on different subjects and each limiting to a specific number of words in the essays. Additionally there is a 71 second video you need to do about yourself, any why a Walt Disney World® Resort vacation is different than any other vacation destination! We drove up to Walt Disney World® Resort last weekend so I could do my video in front of Cinderella's Castle Saturday night at midnight!

My fingers and toes are crossed to see if I get an email to go to Round #3....

Is the Disney Moms panel voluntary or do you get compensated for being a member?

I know that if you are notified sometime in the next few weeks that you have been selected to go on to Round 3, the next round is a phone interview with Disney exec's. Beyond that, I don't know the procedure. Compensation is Disney parks related, and the incredible honor of making it to the sweet 16 members for the year! (My fingers are still crossed...)

Wow ~ I hope they appreciate that you took the time to go make your video at the park! This is exciting ~ fingers and toes crossed and pixie dust flying everywhere for you!!

I actually wonder if they will ever change the name of the panel as it really isn't just composed of Moms anymore

Unfortunately, I have the difficult task of letting you know your application was not chosen to advance into the next Rounds of the 2015 Search.

Over the past year, and especially in the last 4 months, I’ve had the pleasure of hearing the commitment our Guests have to all of our Disney Parks vacation offerings. Your love of Disney Parks has been evident in both Round 1 and Round 2. The work you put into your applications showed in your stories, “Disney Side” photos and videos. After much deliberation, research and time, our Review Committee is tasked with narrowing the list even more for the next Round.

While we can’t provide exact numbers, please know that this year’s Search was one of the largest in the program’s history, so to advance to Round 2 is an exemplification of your passion and knowledge.

I know that’s probably not any consolation right now, but please know I truly appreciate you, and all of our Guests who apply. While it’s probably not top of mind right now, I do hope you consider returning for a future Disney Parks Moms Panel Search.
