Lots of good names on that list. I loved seeing Jodi Benson the one time ~ so much fun to have the voice of Ariel narrate the program! :ariel:
Does anyone know if they compensate the narrators beyond tickets to the parks and a room?

They get paid, they are there for the money. Park tickets/hotel rooms are not worth the time.

I was going to post the question: "who would you cast if you were directing the Candlelight Processional, assuming that the funds don't exist to cast a major A-List'r?", until I realized that all of my own answers are just people I think would be funny, like Joe Mantegna (assuming he does the narration as Fat Tony from "The Simpsons") or Will Arnett (assuming he does the narration as Gob Bluth).

I'm sure some of the people take advantage of going to the parks as best they can without being recognized. I know Neil Patrick Harris is a big Disney fan and often posts pictures in the parks.

Maybe they just really enjoy it...that's always a possibility.

Considering it is a for-profit activity and it requires extensive travel, they won't. Just like performers that headline for the holiday parade... some may be heavily washed up and do it for scale though.
