Jungle Cruise jokes

I like the Jungle Cruise a lot. I have come to the conclusion that its not just the joke that is entertaining but the skipper who delivers that joke. Some Skippers are much better than others. When we were there back in 2012 there was a younger female Skipper that must have worked nights as a stand up comic. She was really good and had the whole boat in stitches. Same lame jokes but what a delivery.

Exactly. Delivery is everything, from timing to facial expression to even the tone of voice.

We've had some great skippers and some terrible skippers over the years - and they all use the same script. It just goes to show it's not what you say... it's how you say it.

That's great! A test for any skipper is when they need to vamp while boats are backed up to unload at the dock. Once in that situation at Disneyland, I had the following exchange with our skipper:

SKP: "So, where's everyone from?"
ME: "Pennsylvania."
SKP: "I'm sorry?"
ME: "Pennsylvania."
SKP: "No, I'm just sorry."

Magic.
