Subsonic Radio

I'm not sure who else knew here, but The American Idol Experience at Hollywood Studios is closing on August the 30th! I'm kinda shocked at this, because it's not that old!

It's not that shocking when you realize the show is probably only a season or two from cancellation. With competition form several other shows causing a steep decline in ratings/viewers they realized the show may not be on the air much longer and it costs quite a bit to license music for the attraction.

Yeah, this news doesn't surprise me much. I do wonder what they will be putting into that space though ~ probably something Star Wars related

Have never been, but I wouldn't really be interested anyway. It would definitely be something I would skip.

I never bothered going when I visited so I hope they put something good there.

I read somewhere today that is supposed to be the new Jedi Training Academy

This news came out earlier than I expected. I thought the experience would last a little longer. The talks I have been hearing are that they want to have the Frozen Sing Along an all year around experience and will take over the building.

So most of us still won't get much, if any, use out of that building.

Maybe they will put something Marvel in there...there is a pretty cool traveling show going around

That probably wouldn't happen since most traveling stuff is like Disney on Ice where it's licensed with no involvement of owners beyond approval.

Sounds about right...I would at least pop in to see a Frozen sing along once, I probably wouldn't bother with Star Wars or Marvel...well, I would go once, but that's about it. And I would skip it if I was short on time.

I loved Doug Live ~ that was a great show! I forgot that was in there before.

Was that where the Bette Midler followed by Drew Carey things were too? I can't remember

The Drew Carey Sounds Dangerous was further down, in a smaller theater. I think the Bette Midler Lottery Ticket was in with the Backlot Tour wasn't it?
