I love that speed ramp for that very purpose too!kelpseaweedkelp wrote:Yes! And also the moving platform is super bouncy. The best moving platform is the one after Space Mountain where you go past all the little dioramas and then take your delayed photo, which is so strangely satisfying - that one is like a freaking trampoline
I concur. It really puts you in the mood for the ride. I don't know if the two skeletons are still playing chess in the queue but I loved that too.castmember04 wrote:Pirates of the Caribbean easily. I love the feel of the old dingy fort. And the music and believe it or not the dank smell of the water. True wdw fans know what I'm talking about. Great for nostalgia as well.
They're still there, and still in their stalemate!BuDz211 wrote:I concur. It really puts you in the mood for the ride. I don't know if the two skeletons are still playing chess in the queue but I loved that too.

(And I just proved that I can use all three "their" homophones correctly. lol)
Hmm, I heard recently on a podcast that it isn't really a stalemate. At least not anymore...they cleaned the space and didn't mark where the pieces were originally, and didn't put them back in the same way?BenB wrote: They're still there, and still in their stalemate!
Bravo! Well done! Would that everyone else posting on FB and other sites could accomplish that.BenB wrote: They're still there, and still in their stalemate!

If that's true, I'd be quite surprised. It would mean that, not only did Disney not keep a record of how it was set up, but no one at Disney has ever taken a picture of the skeletons and their game which could have been used to reconstruct it? I call BS.daluke wrote:Hmm, I heard recently on a podcast that it isn't really a stalemate. I tried to get a picture once to see if in fact they are in stalemate, but it didnt turn out clear enough to figure it out.
Anyone know this for sure, either way?
Oh, to stay on topic - fave queue is MuppetVision!
NICE. <boom>BenB wrote: They're still there, and still in their stalemate!
