New Peter Pan Queue

Post by Cardinals314 » Jun Thu 12, 2014 10:51 pm

A permit that is linked below was submitted by TWDC today. The description of the property is stated as: MK PP Queue Phase 1,1450F Magic Kingdom Drive,BL JWMK4029. You could assume that it is the beginning steps to a new Peter Pan queue that has been talked about for a while. Any thoughts?

Yes, I believe you are right. There is a thread on wdwmagic's Permits forum about this and the speculation that they will extend the queue into the old rest room space seems logical. Now that they have the Tangled restrooms it'd be cool to have a proper queue for this attraction since PP is slammed all day every day.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

I'd love to have a new queue! Even though I'm a grandpa, I love the Peter Pan ride, but standing in the queue is not pleasant.

 That's what I thought when I first saw the photos! I wonder what the interactive elements will be...and why they haven't been activated yet?

I already have Peter Pan fastpass+ reservations for my January trip...but if the standby queue is less than 20 say at rope drop, I might make a detour. :)

I wonder at what point they open the overflow queue ~ 20 minutes might be enough. Hope you get to see it!

I will be sad if/when they make changes to the ride! It is such a classic like Snow White! I'll be sad when all of them are gone. :-( But I"m sure what they have in the works will be pretty awesome. #torn

What I've seen indicates more of an upgrade in the tech ~ like led lighting and the like ~ so I don't think it will change the feel of the attraction too much. It is definitely a classic, and one of Figment's favorites!

Oh good deal! That makes me feel better. I would hate for all of the classic, older rides to go by the wayside! :-)
