Four Seasons Resort Orlando
Just checked out the new Four Seasons Resort that will be opening at WDW in August ~ wow, is it expensive! I'm only familiar with the name of the Four Seasons, and that they are a pretty nice hotel, but are people really going to spend upwards of $700/night? According to the information I read, the hotel will have a bus that goes to the MK twice and hour and only 1 bus per hour to the other parks
Am I wrong in thinking this hotel would be comparable to the Swan and Dolphin, but at a much, much higher price point?
EDIT: So I went and played with dates a bit more and it appears you can stay around $450/night, and with every two nights you receive a third night for free, but that still seems high to me

That's what I'm getting. It's an expensive Dolphin Swan.

I guess part of the allure is it is geared more toward grown-ups with an adult only pool, but that doesn't make up the difference in price to us. Guess it is good we have simple tastes and All Stars is good enough for usJacca5660 wrote:That's what I'm getting. It's an expensive Dolphin Swan.

For $700 a night, and even $450 a night, I'll stay onsite at the Poly or Boardwalk, TYVM. Or, I'll stay in a DVC property with rented points and pay even less... SSR is pretty adult-themed, and quiet.

That's what I was thinking. I would rather stay closer and have more bus and transportation options!cy1229 wrote:For $700 a night, and even $450 a night, I'll stay onsite at the Poly or Boardwalk, TYVM. The swan, and probably everything else on property would be considered a dump compared to what a four seasons typically offers in (even in Florida). Though, with the limited transport (which may change) to/from the resorts, that seems to go against their standard of taking you where you want to go at the drop of a hat.

A level of service that exceeds the competitors and they usually go for tasteful décor over tacky stuff.
