But I know what you mean. The hubby wishes desperately that WDW would do to the Haunted Mansion what DLR does during Halloween.

The butt-hurt parade that always wakes up in September when HMH opens up at DLR.

Disney most likely won't do HMH at WDW because of the long shutdown required for installation and how a signature ride being closed for someone's vacation is one of the things they strive to avoid.

Actually, wouldn't the first holiday overlay be main street? Considering they have all the requirements for said overlay, change in decoration, music, and content?

Anyway, it is possible that this overlay will only be within the boathouse itself and a little bit within the spiel because as much fun as it would be to throw hats on everything and have santa be spit roasted (either definition works here) by the natives, it probably wouldn't work in the context of the ride.
