I have a feeling that even if no one requested a new structure for the ride, they would still need to build one since the massive foundations were needed for all the vibration that the ride generates. If you can find old overhead shots of the park, you can use the planter in front of Horizons as a reference point since it apparently was not moved/touched during construction.

Well I didn't have "rewind" enabled (how do you do that again? I forget) but I did go to Google maps and put it in "Google Earth" mode, and noticed something really odd.dstrawn9889 wrote:good idea, i can use the 'rewind' on google earth to see... just not on this PC at work.Wizzard419 wrote:I have a feeling that even if no one requested a new structure for the ride, they would still need to build one since the massive foundations were needed for all the vibration that the ride generates. ALL of the pedestrian concrete areas around Futureworld are the same concrete, even in front of Test Track, except for part of the walkway leading up to Mission: Space. So, that tells me that they added some new concrete to fill in that area. Ya dig? It's like if you put an addition on your house and try to match the brick but can't quite get it 100% matched. Except in this case, the change is distinct, as if it was done on purpose. But if so, I wonder why they didn't change it leading up to Test Track.
Very interesting...

Not really when you consider it is like a mosaic that combines the form and color scheme of the building itself. Test Track (old and new) also uses different paving once you get within the footprint (and presumably the range of the speakers) for the ride.

the sinkhole reports are better then years past but yeah...it is concerning
