Wow, closed for the whole summer season? Isn't there a better time to do refurbishments?
This is now the third change in dates for refurbs for these two attractions. They do need the work badly from what I've heard. Also there are talks that the first few weeks of the refurbs will cause some congestion issues in Tomorrowland.

It sounds to me like some kind of major change is coming to the queue areas for both of these, based solely on the dates coinciding and the locations of the two.

Folks will sure miss the People Mover in the June/July heat. It's one of the best ways to take a break and stay in the shade during those Summer months.

The L.A. Prop Cinema Storage shop at MGM (DHS) is now listed as being closed for refurbishment from June 16th to Febuary 28th. That's extremely long for a simple refurbishment. There are talks that it is the future location of Starbucks, but nothing confirmed

Great news for you RobinSandusky ~ I'm with you, I would be sad if the CoP was down when we were there!

It is pure kitsch, and I love every minute of it. It's super dated, but that's what makes it fun!

I love listening to the old recording when Father says "Just you iron the wrinkles out of my shirts," and then in the present day scene, he actually feels put-out when his wife speaks up. Amazing.

It's one of my favorite rides in the parks.

The All-Star Music Resort food court will be renovated from August 1st through to December 20th. It will be the same renovation work as the food court at the All-Star Sports last year

It still amazes me that it takes them that long to renovate a food court. It doesn't seem like it would take almost 5 months to renovate them :?

These are huge spaces... And I bet it takes awhile to give the whole place a thorough scrubbing.

I suppose, but they manage to do attractions in less time ~ I suppose the impetus to finish a food court isn't as strong because they just have guests go the adjoining All Stars' food court instead.

Exactly. That's probably why they are doing the renovations of the food courts in shifts rather than all three together. The walking would be annoying, but I haven't eaten there anyways. I would rather spend a couple of extra dollars at a sit down place for lunch
