Hat Lady Show No More
Disney is reporting that 'The Hat Lady' element of Epcot's Rose and Crown Pub is no longer being performed. The entertainment at the Rose and Crown will be purely music, with guests being able to sing along and make requests. The former "Hat Lady' will continue to appear, but as a pianist only, and she will not perform the 'Hat Lady' show.
I have never seen the show at EPCOT, but I heard people who regularly go to the Rose and Crown Pub enjoyed it.

That seems odd that they will still have the CM playing the piano, but not singing anymore. I never saw the show either so I don't know why they would make the change.Cardinals314 wrote:Disney is reporting that 'The Hat Lady' element of Epcot's Rose and Crown Pub is no longer being performed. Looking at 10 seconds of a performance of hers... probably too loud/annoying. I wanted to throw a pint glass at my screen but I didn't have one nearby.

I've never seen this one. I don't mind loud music/performances if it's in the right setting. But, we still have never been in the R&C so I don't know about that one either!
I'll need to check her out before she's gone (hopefully)

I was sad to see this news the other day. That bar is really crowded and the hat lady makes it feel like you are all crammed in there for a reason. Now it will just be pointlessly packed.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

Maybe it won't be as crowded without the entertainment? Or maybe they will be bringing in a new singer?horizons1 wrote:I was sad to see this news the other day. By all accounts, she is still playing, but just not doing the other stuff. The only thing more annoying than a dueling piano bar, a single piano bar doing the same thing.
