Re: Imagination Pavilion News
This pavilion is a shell of its former self. I remember when it first opened the line was always snaking outside. I loved it back them. Dreamfinder was the best. They've needed to fix this attraction since the day it reopened.
I find it hard to believe that Disney Inaginears have no Imagination for this attraction. Can we say EPIC fail????

So true!Sharonofwindham wrote:I don't remember ever waiting long for Horizons either, ( maybe when it first opened), and look at all the fans that attraction has!Len90 wrote:To me it might actually make sense if it goes seasonal. Journey into Imagination and Captain EO both don't draw big crowds and the standby times really never go above 5-10 minutes even in the middle of summer.Wizzard419 wrote:He didn't say they were taking it out, just putting it on ice for when the crowds are low. Though, considering the low attendance of the pavilion... not sure the backlash would be that huge.
Who knows what they will do with the 3D movie part of the pavilion since the type of 3D that Disney started using with Magic Journeys in the '80's, then Captain EO, and finally HISTA, is used everywhere now. I would like to see the latter of the three back again though. Not a real fan of watching new theater released movies in 3D, but I do love these short films made specifically for 3D.
Disney seriously needs to use their imaginations and transform this entire pavilion again. Kind of sad that WDW is pretty much made from Walt's imagination & creativity, and the majority of THIS pavilion continues to gather dust. The most exciting part consistently has been the design & the fabulous fountains. Please for the love of God, don't shut the fountains down, lol!

Such amazing places that hold so many memories at Epcot seem to be going away. I wish they'd figure out something to do. Fix them, refurbish, tear them down....just do something or build new things.

I'm guessing EPCOT won't be getting much love while the projects are happening over at AK though...Metalfan wrote:Such amazing places that hold so many memories at Epcot seem to be going away. Epcot hasn't gotten much love in quite sometime. We hears lots of rumors but then nothing happens.

Surprising how much is still up there. Can't believe he managed to stay up there that long without being caught sooner! I remember the rainbow tunnel...and I think the paintbrush thingies were there when we went too.

It's not like they are going to monitor an empty hallway. Like with most of the things they close, unless there is a replacement in the wings or a need for the space, it kind of just sits there to be picked at by other teams.

It's sad that it's not being used but after watching this it does go to shoe you how far technology has come.

It's sad to see what the pavilion has become...not to mention Future World as a whole. With today's technology, Future World could be AMAZING!

Re: Imagination Pavilion News
The entire pavilion needs to be reinvented...even if it means removing Figment for good...in order to get people to go there. Within 15-20 years...the children of today will be the adults spending money in the parks...and they will have no memory of the Imagination Pavilion that we know and love. Just like they will know nothing about the rest of EPCOT Center. Disney needs to figure out how to invest the money and effort into making this something good for the long term. Use cutting edge technology to blow people's minds the way the original Imagination Pavilion did with all of the sensory things and the 3D movies. Disney has the money...they just need to figure out how to make something to wow guests.
