I just think Disney can do better than this-C'mon it's a world wide organization and they put a movie that's 30 years old in the park?!? It's stuff like that I can't understand. For instance, Soarin, You couldn't make a Soarin film for Florida-we have to see California on this side of the continent? Disney makes movies-that's what they do along with several networks!!! There should be a bunch of Soarins that randomly rotate like Star Tours. They have the Technology and the money but are just too "lazy" to do it. I understand the "Soarin is popular so why change it" mentality but that's just lazy and doesn't hold true with what I think was Walt's vision. Waltwas always cutting edge-never a sit around and draw profit guy!!

Off my soap box.....sorry :?
My guess is that they don't do it because they don't have a need to make Soarin' any more popular than it already is. You already have fastpasses used up early in the day and a line going out the door - do you want people to ride it multiple times in hopes of getting a new video? When/if the popularity wanes, that's my guess to when they'd revisit it. To be honest I love Soarin' as it is, though it would be nice to end up at the MK instead of DL. There are several other attractions I'd rather see redone first. (And that Michael Jackson crap is close to the top of the list.)
Hoping to go back to the Magic soon.

Michael Eisner, the elastic 'E', the man who said he could and would change his mind often? He is the golfer in the Attraction... (the man who <rumored>brought figment back to the Imagination Pavilion?)the one that helped make EO and the idea man behind ITTBAB, M:S, and TWO additional theme parks to WDW?

I've obviously heard of Michael Eisner, but never have heard the moniker of the elastic E before.

I read that it should close on January 2nd but it still seems to be open.
I hope they don't close it. I want to ride Jorney into Imagination next month.

Sadly...we didn't even go to the pavilion when we were there last week. On such a short trip we had to prioritize...and the Imagination Pavilion didn't make the cut. I do hope there is something with Figment when we take DS next year.

To me it might actually make sense if it goes seasonal. Journey into Imagination and Captain EO both don't draw big crowds and the standby times really never go above 5-10 minutes even in the middle of summer.
I don't remember ever waiting long for Horizons either, ( maybe when it first opened), and look at all the fans that attraction has!
Who knows what they will do with the 3D movie part of the pavilion since the type of 3D that Disney started using with Magic Journeys in the '80's, then Captain EO, and finally HISTA, is used everywhere now. I would like to see the latter of the three back again though. Not a real fan of watching new theater released movies in 3D, but I do love these short films made specifically for 3D.
Disney seriously needs to use their imaginations and transform this entire pavilion again. Kind of sad that WDW is pretty much made from Walt's imagination & creativity, and the majority of THIS pavilion continues to gather dust. The most exciting part consistently has been the design & the fabulous fountains. Please for the love of God, don't shut the fountains down, lol!
