The Tiki Room
I know it's probably been said many times before but I really love the Tiki Room in it's original glory as it is today! I am reminded of this because just now on the "Yesterland" stream, I heard the "new" version of the Tiki Room with Iago etc.... and I realized how awful that version was! I am convinced that Walt Disney himself had something to do with the changing back to his beloved original Audio-animatronic masterpiece! I never miss an opportunity to see the Tiki Room whenever in WDW! (I'm just sayin')

Re: The Tiki Room
Totally agree. I love Iago and Zazu as much as the next guy, in their original contexts. However, in the Tiki Room they were TERRIBLE. Annoying, pompous, interruptive, ... everything Disney isn't. Glad they changed it back.

I couldn't agree more! It might be just a rumor, but I remember reading somewhere that there had been a fire in the updated ride and that the newer animatronics (Iago, etc.) had been damaged. Either way, I'm glad it's back to the original!

Yup, there was indeed a fire that did in Iago as well as other damage. Some say it was a message from above to return to the original showCCAS116 wrote:I couldn't agree more! Re: The Tiki Room
I have friends who are going to WDW next week...and I told them they need to go see the Tiki Room because it is back to the original version. It is one person's first trip ever...so I'm interested to see how much she enjoys some of the classic attractions like Tiki Room, Peter Pan, small world, etc.

Wow I never knew that! I'm happy it happened though because I couldn't stand the newer version. It was so annoying! Glad it's back to the originalAmy wrote:Yup, there was indeed a fire that did in Iago as well as other damage. One of the most memorable attractions from my first visit to the Magic Kingdom. I love to sit in the back row...always loved the storm outside the "windows", and the totem poles when they come to life. Classic Disney...so happy it's back
